HELP- Should I fully max or not

OK, so I am a town hall 8... easy enough

• I have finished all uses for elixir already (max barracks and dark barracks, all lab upgrades even pekkas lv 3, and max de storage and de drill)
• Maxed out cannons to lv 10, maxed out mortars, lv 6 wizard towers, and lv 10 archer towers (in 2 days), and lv 4 teslas and lv 5 air defenses.
• I have lv 4 minions, lv 2 hogs, and lv 1 golems and lv 1 valks.
• I also have all lv 7 walls

All I have left to do at this town hall lv is walls to lv 8, barb king, de upgrades for hogs, valks, and golems in lab, and teslas and air defenses to lv 6. Not that much, so I was wondering, should I completely max out.... walls teslas etc, or should i upgrade to town hall 9... My elixir is just sitting their drying...

I was in the same position, only had teslas, de troops, and Barb king left. I went to TH 9 and my elix dried up fast. I would get Air defense and about 1/3 -1/2 wals done before moving on.

If I were you id completely max out first,You dont want to get to th9 with so many new upgrades to do and still be behind in some th8 ones.Im just a little bit further in front to you,ive got everything completely maxed except for my last tesla and my walls.I really want to finish it all so when i get to 9 i dont have to worry

I would at least make the core of the base skulls before you move on

If you want skulls, it's not impossible to get them at TH9, but there are a lot of upgrades that take priority over walls imo. This question is asked a lot, and it always comes down to answering the question with questions...
Do you want skulls?
Do you enjoy bullying TH7s (something which just isn't really possible if you upgrade)?

I could give a list of these, but these are the most simple and direct.

It jumped early from th8 to th9 and managed to catch up quite quickly to where I wanted to be, mainly as I can play this at work as well as at home. If you are restricted in your game play time, then get the air defences upgraded and start on the teslas before making the leap. As for troop upgrades, IMHO it depends on what troops you use.

I'd recommend total maxing. There is so much new stuff at th9, you'll be glad to have got as far as a poss at th8 once you go up. I would max ALL defences and as many walls as poss and then go up when you put your last def on...then max resources for then th9 finishes so you hit the ground running.

Total maxing is the only way to go in my opinion. Best and only way to operate. The higher your TH, the more difficult to get that gold so get everything maxed. And L4 teslas are quite a shame, get them to L6; they are the most dps defense TH8 has available and should not be dismissed. You have a lot of work to do still before it is time for TH9.

I suggest doing your teslas up to at least lvl5. As for skulls, I say do at least half. Since the TH9 upgrade takes 10days (I think) you probably can start the TH upgrade once teslas are started and maybe a quarter of your walls are skull.
