    CWL weighting

Second time posting - the first time was a positive experience and thanks

could someone explain to me how clan selection is performed in CWL? Were up against a Lvl 17 clan and we are a Lvl 12 and its no surprise were getting our butts handed to us. Not to complain because everyone is subjected to the algorithm; Im just trying to understand how SC arrives at the selection.

thanks in advance for the feedback

Clan level is not taken into account when matching in CWL or regular war. A high clan level is not an indicator of skill by any means. In CWL there is no weighted matchmaking. All clans in the same league are randomly matched.

So to answer your question, its completely random.

You might try the sticky here https://forum.supercell.com/showthre...king-In-CWL%21

But cliff notes version is -

The 1st time you do clan war league for your clan you are placed in a League based on the weight of the top 15 bases opted into the war search.

After that you are in the league you fished the last CLW you did. So if you were placed in say Gold 1 on your initial search the next search you would be in Gold 2 if you got demoted, Gold 1 again if you finished somewhere in the middle and Crystal 3 if you got promoted.

From there when you spin, there in NO MATCHMAKING AT ALL. You are simply put in your league with 7 other random clans in your league. You could have a big advantage, you could be even, or you could be at a big disadvantage in given war or even any given season.
Villains United #9UJLRUVU - L10 Clan - Friday Wars - Always looking for TH6+ looking to do clan games. War is optional but if you're green we expect 2 attacks.
