I disagree with everything you said. I love the gem boosts and will be so sad when it's over

Accept your Christmas present and move on. If someone gets you a car for Christmas, are you going to complain about the gas mileage?

You do pay for it with gems.. So really it's not a pressent, but rather just a discount :-)

So, If you get a discount on a car that you can't really use for anything, can't resell, and has terible gas milage.. Would you really not concider if it was worth buying, even though discounted ? ;-)

Recently in light of the christmas update , we had the 1 gem boost for almost everything except Castle Request .. At first everyone including me were celebrating the loot boosts thats gonna arrive for us, however I noticed 2 out of 10 people i raid wasnt on boosts at all .

After boosting my own gold mines and elixir pumps for once, i have stopped boosting them anymore. I DONT THINK the barracks boost, the gold mine boost or the Elixir pump boost IS WORTH IT.

1. Barracks boost: pay up 4 gems for 45 mins , sounds good right? but who raids for 45mins a day? normal raider spend 2-3 hrs in COC , it costs 20 gems or even more.. Gems are hard to come by for farmers. I know many PEOPLE WILL mention their "RECORD LOOTS" using the boost, but you are paying 32 gems!! furthermore ppl want to save up for more builders

2. Elixir boost : Consensus is that for most people elixir is more than abundant, no need to really boost it

3. Gold boost : This is controversial. I dont boost them because for 50k - 100k extra gold isnt worth paying 4 gems/day . I do that only when i need urgent gold..

4. Spell boost : This is by far the only boost i have used a lot, and people should only use this.. With quicker spells come help trophy pushes and more lightning on DE for me..

What do you all think? What boost do all of you use? how often do you use it ,discuss!

My first thoughts with these boosts was actually that :

1) rather than being a pressent to us, it was propably more of a way to get people starting using gems.. (Start them with a discount and maybe some players will get so used to boosting that they will keep boosting even after the discount has ended).

2) "nice" way to have the players use their gems to make up for the terible loot update... Keeping status quo, but at the cost of players needing to micro-gem the boosts.

Looking at players, i really don't see many using those boosts though.. And for myself it's pretty much the same as yourself.. I boost the DE collectors, and sometimes the spells.. Thats it, rest are just not worth it.

Pretty much same picture i see when attacking, not very many using those boosts.

To be worth it, and actually be more of a pressent from supercell than a cheasy discount, then imo it should have been :

- collectors boosted in whole period, or at least 1 week.
- spells, 1 day boost.
- barracks, 1 day boost.

Then i think people would actually have used it, and have felt it like a christmas pressent.
