In my device, in the browser, I pull up the menu, go to settings, themes, select dark mode. I'm on android 9 using chrome. It will be browser and os specific. Older devices may not support it.

If you have an Apple device it's called 'invert colours' and can be found at settings --> general --> accessibility. I use that quite often. It's supposed to be better for your eyes to read white text on black background than black text on white background while reading on a screen.

Edit: You can also make a shortcut to access it via the home button to make switching faster
