IMO the builder has not got any rights he is not human form he is computer code! - the builders only use is to hammer away night & day for the rest of his external life. I hope they are happy that we employ them!If they was sleeping all the time; you would think they would be in a coma and that is very distressing

Upgrades not worth all that gold -> Builders take a percentage of upgrade costs -> Builders do have a lot of money -> when raiding Builders huts we should get a lot of money
I would also like to get another point in this post: Why Builders have a different gem cost? I mean, this is kinda racist, we worth all the same!

This is my opinion.
My builder has taken me on a tour of its home. You know how much town hall upgrades cost right, and whats there to build? Fire? Wood? It actually doesnt cost that much, but the builder is greedy and wants its money, so i charges you 4 times the amount otherwise needed. What does he do with that extra money? He uses it to build and expand his dream house. He wants you to think it is just a 2x2 hut, so it is tiny, and he his fat, so he wont even fit. But thats not the case!!!
Here is what I have learned by snooping around.
1. The builder is not actually fat. Its a suit he wears while working to protect him from the stench of the giants and barbs cooking in your barracks.
2. His Hut... ISNT SMALL. Sure it look that way on the outside, but it is actually larger than it seems. This is part of the lv 6 wizards spell on his hut. Inside, he has a jucuzzi, a 60 pixel flat screen tv, a xbox, practically anything you can think of! His house, may seem small, may be called a hut, may be a 2x2 square, but is actually a PARADISE
3. As people have mentioned, the second village owners get off, they stop working... This is partially true. The builder only works when you start an upgrade. After which, he waits until you leave, to replace it with a red faced drone of himself. The drone does all the work, while the builder sits in his hut. Except this is the time when he doesnt snore so you cant see him sleeping.
Beware. This is for your ears only. Only, I, whoever is reading this, and the village maidens know their secret. If you are to reveal the builders secret to anyone else, they shall find you. Inside each of your apple devices with clash installed is a gps. If needed, they can bust out their tanks, and can come find you.

They are builders mate, soon as you log off they stop working and start chatting up the towns women, drinking superT and generally making a mess of the place, you don't really think it takes 4 days, or whatever, to put a carrot on a stick do you?
