Welcome to the game and forums!

As some had mentioned before me

    1) If you are going to buy gems, get all your builders ASAP.

    2) Try to max everything before you advance townhalls. Not as important before TH7 but critical TH7 and above.

    3) Raiding others is the fastest way to gain resources.

    4) Build your clan castle as soon as you can and join a clan. Look around. You might join a few clans before you find your forever clan.

    5) And post your questions here if you have them.

    Good luck and clash on

Yes max walls but most people stop at lvl 9 walls they look the best and are still cost efficient compared to the hp they have.

Learn where the loot is ie mines and pumps or storages. In the past Ive thrown an expensive and long build time army at a base when i couldve gotten the loot with a few troops from unguarded mines.

The consensus is to max walls too. Th8 has skull walls. Th9 has legos, etc.

However it is a choice that you need to make. Do you want sleeping builders while you farm walls? Some choose to up their townhall to prevent sleeping builders.

But it is harder to farm the higher you go so........

    If you:

    • Want to catch up to the veterans ASAP
    • Don't want to spend money on gems
    • Can be a very active player
    • Are confident that you can master the art of raiding quickly

Then don't listen to what most people say and rush your TH to level 7 or 8! It's not that the others are talking nonsense, but if the points above applies to you, then you should rush.

    Downsides of TH rushing

The main con of TH rushing is the loot penalty obviously. But the thing is. There are barely any bases with maxed collectors below th6. Most bases wont have filled gold storages either as upgrade times are short and they can just dump the gold in walls in between. And with the lowered loot bonus, those TH4 and 5 won't be able to steal that much from you as before. And let's say you did some great raids and got all that shiny gold.. Now where to spend it on? Everything is dirt cheap..

The second con is weak defenses. It is true that I had only 1 lvl1 canon when I reached TH7 and I get 3 starred each time someone attacked me. But I don't care. You'll get a shield and it's not like they can attack you over and over again. Furthermore, all the upgrades pre-TH7 are so cheap that you could easily farm the resources in a few raids that you don't have to worry about protecting your resources.

Third point someone on the forum mentioned is: you'll have to do the upgrades in the end anyway, so why not now? Well, my answer is efficiency. The big money sink of this game are walls. And If you're a bit active, you'll have your walls maxed at each TH before TH7 and just sit there with filled gold storages and waiting for the rest of your upgrades. Hell, with my first account I maxed my walls at TH7 and TH8 long before the rest of the upgrades were done. And I just sat there with filled storages for weeks just because I followed the traditional way. That's A huge waste of resources there. I'd advice anyone to rush to TH7 where the walls becomes a bit more challenging to farm and you'll have plenty of time doing the rest of your defenses.

    What's so great about TH7

One of the biggest pro of TH7 is the extra army camp. You'll jump from 150 to 200 troop capacity! It's huge! Now you'll be able to target those juicy weak TH8 and premmy 9s. Even the great collector raid will be easier.

The second pro is the 4th barrack. A 33% increase in troop building speed! Huge! Not only will you be able to attack more bases, you'll be able to attack faster too!

More juicy raids, faster raids.. Remember that I just talked about walls? Maxing walls starting from TH7 is way more efficient than if you maxed them at each TH. Wall upgrades are instantly and you'll accumulate gold much faster at TH7.

If you've done your rushing right by only focusing on offense and storages, you'll have plenty of quick upgrades to do. You don't have to worry about people stealing your precious resources as there isn't anything to steal. The upgrades are quick and you can dump all your gold in walls in between upgrades. By the time you need more resources for upgrades, it also means that your defenses are of decent level to fend off some attacks.

So there you go. If you're actively playing this game, rush to TH7.

Tl;dr rushing to TH7 is totally fine and advisable as long as you max your camps and main troops.

    1. Gem only the builders.
    2. Dont gem anything else.
    3. Max out every town hall as you go.
    4. Good luck!

Semi-rush to TH7 - keep your offense upgrading, and max your mines and collectors as you go. Focus on maxing barbs, archers and goblins first, and focus your raids on inactive bases where you don't need to penetrate the walls to get the loot.

Once at TH7, start focusing on your defenses and follow the "max your TH before upgrading" rule.

Start walls early as they can be a drag and hard to catch up on later.

If you'll ever buy gems, do it early to have 5 builders.

The biggest constraint in this game is TIME as I'm sure you learned in the other game which shall not be named. You can't get around that without spending money, which is why as long as you can always keep your builders busy and max your walls, you're doing the right thing. Maybe less efficiently than others, but if your builders are busy and your walls are maxed and you're having fun, it's good enough!
