Builder base obstacle removal doesn’t count towards challenge

If you start to remove an obstacle in the builder base then start an attack in the builder base before the obstacle has been removed, the obstacle removal won’t count towards a challenge. For example the “Gardening Exercise; Clear 25 obstacles from your Home Village or Builder Base” challenge will stay at the same completion number as before you started an obstacle removal.

I opened an in app support for this but they said it was just a visual situation and it would take time for the server to register it. I tested this several times and it never registered even after a week of waiting.

Hopefully the support here is better than the in app support.
