In the Spirit of Halloween—- Our Valley has been renamed Ghost Valley

I have been able to locate exactly 6 trucks other than the 5 from our NH. Four are all sitting at the same roadstop. Exactly 2 have moved initially and not since then. Thankfully we have already collected 12 chickens, which is way below our typical daily average. Given all chickens have been collected by our NH I am not worried about making it to 100. Fortunately my neighbors are very dependable.

I love the new appearance of the Valley but the rewards are still lacking anything exciting. I have 1 permit and two in my NH have 1 also, 2 have O and 1 who is not participating had 2 available to him. I will hate it when we get broken truck quests because with 5 trucks moving in our Valley, it will be hard to accomplish that especially since we are rarely in the Valley at the same time or even close to the same time for that matter.

I wish there was something that would encourage people to participate but so far the rewards just don’t really draw people in.

I saw a bunch of trucks when I first entered the valley. It was like everyone started in the exact same spot.

But now the valley seems more deserted than ever. No other trucks in sight, even though they said the valley is smaller now.

I also have not seen any chickens to collect. I did get a drive-by brown sugar.

In our Valley I have noticed that a chicken appears around the tuck of a person who has just finished moving around in the Valley within about an hour so it might be wise to check back in the Valley about an hour after you leave it for the purpose of locating chickens. So far it has happened to every one of us in the Valley in my NH.

I collected two today by doing just that...checking back in the Valley an hour after I last moved my truck. You may want to watch people from your NH to see when they move so you can watch for a chicken by their truck and let them know as well.

    Thanks, I'll try that.

My neighbors don't play the valley, so I can't stalk them.

We're a pretty laid back group. A lot of them aren't even trying to expand their land any more. Not even the plots that don't need permits.

I haven’t seen a single chicken yet either, and my Valley group is collecting so few that at this rate we won’t get 100. There were a lot more chickens in previous seasons.

I have seen a number of them, five that I know of that we’re not collected because the person they were close to was not on at the time the chicken was available. It seems that they become more and more frequent as the season goes on.

I am personally hoping that more people will get involved in the Valley a the seasons progress but can understand the frustration of those who choose not to participate. It is not my favorite area but I participate because my NH wants to participate to help grow their farms. As such, I participate. We do, however, have 2 less folks participating as they are really upset over the EM and UM limits. They have not been on since we updated. Those who remain are playing less and less as am I, but I am not upset enough to quit totally. Just playing a lot less each day which is not necessarily a bad thing.

Hope chickens start popping up soon in your Valleys.

Well, it seems to have worked. I went back and there was a chicken.

I don't have enough fuel to actually go get it, but it's the first chicken I've seen thus far.

One thing I've noticed about the valley this time: there's a LOT of delivery tasks. I hate those, and usually avoid them unless they're a required task. You never know how much fuel you'll need or where you'll have to go. Not to mention, your truck might break down and there's a time limit. But it's almost impossible to avoid them now. I tried three different directions, and it was a delivery task each way.

Glad that worked for you. It has not worked for me every time, but it has been the case the first time I am carrying out my quests in the Valley each new day and when I actually move my truck later in the day. So now you will know to save some fuel once you complete your quests and go back for a little chicken chasing! Glad it helped.

Janilee, it happened for me both times I was in the Valley this evening when I moved my truck. Once there were 2 chickens to pick up so I collected those and left the Valley. Came back about 45 minutes later and there was another one 3 spots away. Collected it. I will go back into the Valley in about an hour to check for any others. I also took a few screenshots so I will be able to tell if anyone has moved because if they have then any new chickens should appear around their truck rather than near mine...if my suspicions are correct.
