Expansion item: 80 max per day ?

This feature would not have been quite as distressing if they had first, included a clear and bold faced announcement along with the update so players were informed as soon as they logged in of the change,

AND created a counter before hand (how could you not think players would want this?) so players could avoid frustrations that come with opening the DD and shopping for something awesome when you’ve already hit the limit.

I understand the 80 number itself is up for debate.....and they’re testing it out, but....

Doing these things before hand would have gone a long way in helping out loyal, long time, happy players and minimizing anger. Now the announcement is water under the bridge....it only took us a couple of days to get info on when it resets...but increasing the daily max should be a quick decision based on feedback not a long one, and there really really needs to be a counter long before the December update.

And TEMs and metal bars should not be included. I seriously doubt the blackmarket sellers sell those. There's just not enough demand. Including them hurts legitimate players, not the cheaters.

Also the metal bars are not included in the limit. As Kat explained somewhere in this thread, although metal bars are used for upgrading one’s personal train, it is very much a production resource. The metal bars have always been able to be requested using Tom, unlike actual expansion materials.

The TEMs are still needed by many players. New players just opening the town, and players that are starting additional farms will need TEMs.

I agree with you 100% about tems and probably LEMS. I just really think they can’t afford to wait for weeks to change some of this and make good on a bad rollout decision. They are losing customer base as we speak. Even for those in the ‘this doesn’t affect me’ or “I’m ok with it” camp, it’s not good for business to lose tons of players because you irritated and frustrated them....eventually if the player base gets smaller, the game suffers.

I wouldn't have guessed "when Alfred arrives." I'd have thought it would be when the Derby starts and stops. Probably better for us U.S. residents, anyway, since 12AM UTC is early evening, and we'll have time to trade before and after. (I'm predicting a mad rush for trading after 12 AM UTC.)

I still wish they'd get rid of this limit altogether. I, personally, haven't noticed that it's worked. I haven't seen more expansion items in the DD, and I am seeing just as many obvious bot farms as before.

Agree that LEMs probably shouldn't be included, either. With scrolls being a hard limit, there's not much demand for LEMs. The trading ratios make that obvious. It's 5 or 6 to 1 for BEMs. Which means you're limited to just 16 BEM in trades for LEM.

Two days in a row now I have hit the limit to buy expansion items and all I was doing was playing my normal game. No hitting, no neighborhood crazy sale just looking in the newspaper and visiting Hay day friends farms. 80 is too low a limit! I really need screws and of course I finally find some and Bam, the message telling me a can't buy them because I've hit my limit. I have stopped playing both days this had happened to avoid any more frustration with the game. I'm not going to spend hours playing if I can't buy what I need. I play fair, I don't cheat but I am being penalized because of others who are cheating. This seems very unfair to those of us who want to just play without anymore restrictions than we already have. Please either get rid of this new rule or make the number higher for those of us who play all day and 80 is not a reasonable number to limit us at. Some days I can't find any screws, I finally found some and today you blocked me from buying them! Do you have any idea how frustrating that is? Please stop making the game frustrating. Please, I beg you. Make it fun again!

Farm 1 loads shop for farm 2 to upgrade
Farm 2 can't buy all
Farm 3 comes to the rescue and buys items to hold for farm 2 and then is penalized and is short 10 or 20 items for themselves. I guess no good deed goes unpunished in this.

If you Google 12AM UTC it will tell you what time that is where you are. In that creepy way Google uses your IP address to determine where you are and feed you "relevant" search results.

If, for some reason, your IP address is attached to the wrong location, Google something like 12AM UTC Peoria, IL and it will give you correct time in that location.
