    Good points everyone
Another thing why it's so addicting is because when we start playing the game especially in the beginning we wanna continue fast. For example me when I started playing I started of in bronze league, but it wasn't enough for me so I tried my best to go to gold (and I thought I would be satisfied in gold) but then I saw clans that had a limit of what leagues could join them, in this case it was crystal league. And of course everyone wants to get donated good troops, and join a good clan that has them. So then I tried to go to crystal league witch is very hard in a short time. So once I finally got there, I was able to join good clans get good troops, but it didn't really last for a long time till I tried to be better again. And let me just say forwarding from league crystal fast is very hard, and can almost not be done without gems. So then I started buying a few gems and got better slowly until level 82 witch I am right now.

As someone who has bought over $200 worth of gems, I feel like I have gotten my money back. I play this game more than any xbox or ps3 game, and those cost $60.

Nope, hence why i only check in so that i have a reason to visit the forums
today on the nature channel: DE zappers.
these common creatures are found from trophy ranges 800-1500. They are a cowardly bunch, and often don't even attack your usually superior base; preferring to simply lightning your DE. Often, this does not pay off, as the attackers usually become the attacked. And are killed. This is why, above 1500 trophies, you will find few zappers. Thank you.

You start upgrading stuff forwarding slowly each day thinking one day once your the Top player you will be happy and satisfied, but NO you never will be. in the morning you think of putting your builders on an upgrade, wanna get a good raid with lots of loot, and at the end of the day you haven't achieved anything worth it. Each day checking Clash of Clans, buying gems but never really achieving anything!

The Top players obviously bought gems to get so far, it is impossible otherwise, that's just how the game works. players buy gems thinking once they have them they will be satisfied! But ask a top player if they are really satisfied? If they really achieved something worth their time and money on the game!
You will never feel satisfied in the game you will always want more, you will buy gems and use them. That's how supercell makes so much money.

    Think about it.
I agree with you there BigGolem the game is constantly evolving so fast that some people need to buy gems to keep up and even then they still want more the clan aspect of the game i find is my favorite part tho i logon to my device and send a message to my clan and i get a flood of nice responses

BTW how do you put the pic and stats under your name?

Its a conspiracy. Its all just a hallucination and we are being hypnotized into constantly playing. Messed up man...

A lot of it also has to do with the community aspect of the game and being a part of a clan. I'm sure a good majority spend as much time (or if not more) chatting/donating/sharing replays as they do raiding.

And I'm pretty sure, if you flashers out there level 70+ have bought gems! even lower levels! But on this levels it occurs often you get to a point where you think you CANT continue without wasting money on it and buying gems. So you buy gems and after a week or so there gone (depending for what uses) so before you use them keep this in mind, what way of using the gems will give the best outcome? Think about that, use the gems wisely or you will never get enough!
