    What is Win-Trading?

AS the title says, can anyone please explain what it means. Saw this on the "ban" thread by Darian and not sure what it actually is and how its related to clan war leagues.

    Thank You.

So basically you say you'll lose your round to someone and the other person says they'll lose there round against someone and then you both end up being in the top 2
Sorry if that makes no sense

Two or more clans talk and agree to the war outcome, both sides intentionally work to produce that prearranged outcome.

many hav misconception about win-trading. only those doing it blatantly will get caught. for example if 2 clans get together outside of game chat & decide to fix their match with normal looking bases & get normal 32-31 war stars, SC cant do anything about it.

doing blatant fwa bases & giving clans 44/45 stars will obviously get banned.

and spies are everywhere. if you are in ch1 or ch2, its pretty much guaranteed that your bases gets leaked right after 1st war(if not then 2nd war) so you need a good 2-3 bases to do well in cwl.

The biggest concern with wintrading is the impact on the other clans in CWL. If the outcome is mostly normal (eg. 32:31) even if it is prearranged the impact on the other clans in your group is minimal...

If one clan gets 45 stars it is like double win. Any other clan can't beat them on the leaderboard if they manage to get normal results against the other clans....

    That's why winTraiding is forbidden...

If you have a FarmWarClan in your group and they use their farmwarbases against all other clans the impact is equal to everyone, so no real impact on the leaderboard...

Edit: just to be clear: even with nearly normal result WinTraiding is forbidden!

Yes it primarily applies to the Clan War Leagues due to its competitive nature. Normal Clan Wars do not have a ranking system or gauge for competitiveness built into the game. Therefore, the win-trading rules are regarding cheating in the competitive environment.

Our clans haven't seen it much the last few...but our second CWL it was very evident. When 2 clans gets 28-32 stars against everyone...then vs each other they get 45 stars (perfect).

I'm sure clans are smarter about it now...but still makes me wonder why...especially when only 1 clan gets promoted.

You also want to look at how many stars the other clans are getting on them. If everyone is getting 45 stars against them then it would seem that it's to FWA type clans ending up in the same CWL group.

If that's not the case where everyone is getting 45 stars (or close to that) on them, then trading like this would make it far easier for one of these 2 clans to get promoted. In this case they'd decide to tie against each other (giving them 10-15 more trophies than the other clans typically get in a war) and let their results in the other wars dictate which clan gets promoted. The downside to the tie though is that no clan would get the 10 bonus stars for winning the war. Still if the average stars per war in your group is 30, then a 45-45 tie would be 5 stars gained on average.
