SC remove the "Report" button from global

Caesar actually i use global to recruit new members and don't go on there for the purpose of showing off or bragging or antagonising people like you have mentioned.
I'm never vulgar or crude to anyone and always consider myself a down to earth player ( yes i received enough attention as a child ).
Anyways i hope SC listens on this one , i know there are some players out there who do intimidate and show off, look for attention etc but that would be only a small percentage and in 99.9% of cases the mute button would be sufficient.

Hmmmm... Interesting. May well have to do with your gender - seems like the guys on global are a bunch of starving hyenas when a girl comes on... Add into that the fact that you're a Master and Leader, and you instantly have a bunch of "scorned" dudes if you don't invite them... A theory, but plausible...

This has been ruled out if you read the Ideas and Feature Requests sticky, but I bet you knew that. (* Remove the "Report" button/feature from global chat. Abused too often, and mute is better solution)

I recall Steve mentioning somewhere it was because of a legal reason. Can someone confirm or deny that? However, I think they need to develop a reasonable solution to this issue. Such as bans for repeat offenders, progressive banning times etc.

Yes for legal reasons Supercell has to have a report button in the case that someone was being harassed or bullied and needed to report it. It would help prevent Supercell from facing any lawsuits

Are you serious? Are the chats logged? Are the reports logged? I did see a post somewhere that if your getting harassed or bullied you have to send a screen shot etc , if chats were logged surely you wouldn't need to provide this info.

Personally i think its just a basic chat system where you get 5 reports or how many it takes and it ip bans you for 24 hours and nothing gets logged except for your IP address , IMO the chat should be moderated if possible to make it a fairer system since " SC wont remove the report " button for legal reasons.

Anyways i emailed SC regarding this issue, but I'm not expecting an answer until after my bans been lifted haha

Ahem... Of course, anyone has the right to go onto Global. However, if you're a veteran player -- there isn't much to offer there... Endless spam of "join join join"... The requisite "obscene-shock guy" who figures out a way to use different characters to still write nasty and offensive words. Lots of new players, "looking for a clan"... ""Art Guy" -- the guy who has figured out how to draw a monkey or rocket ship with his keyboard... "Any girls on?" Guy... The idea that this is a "social" place is ridiculous. It's like saying driving your car and exchanging hand-gestures with another driver is "socializing"... If you want to be social, join a good clan. As for the OP getting banned, I've been Master Level for months and the few times I've been bored and gone on there, I haven't been banned. Clearly the OP is doing something to antagonize people... Bragging, etc.

Hit the nail right on the head with colorful cast of players that is global. Couldn't have said it any better lol

I'm constantly getting banned from global simply for not accepting people in to my clan. The conversation will go like this:

Child: Freddy can I join plz?
Me: Sorry, lvl 50+ only
Child: Reported Freddy

Other situations may be when someone reads my clan description and sees that it's adult only so just presses the report button. I can tell because I see this;

Child: Report Freddy cuz he hates kids

This is totally unacceptable. Why not just ban people who have ACTUALLY done something offensive? Anyone can take a screen shot. Now there's a mute button, the report button seems completely unnecessary.

I'm really getting pi$$ed off from being reported on global, this problems only been happening since I've been in master and champion league.

Seems to me there's a lot of trigger friendly people who purposely try to get you banned because of a high ranking league.

Could you please remove the report option, basically it does nothing more then the mute button does.

This argument is redundant. It's part of the game and if people want to take advantage of it, they should be able to.

Actually the non-redundant part of this comment is that the global channel is well-known useless. Seriously don't see nothing interesting coming from it. That's the reason saying there is no need going global, and to SC this means they really need to do something to make global useful.

You're flogging a dead horse, just saying it a different way. The fact that "the global channel is well-known useless" is irrelevant to the OP. The fact that YOU "don't see nothing interesting coming from it" doesn't mean the OP is in the same boat. What part of this is difficult to understand?
