    Idea for improving the Pekka and Dragon AI

    A lot of people have been complaining that the Pekka and Dragon not nearly as powerful as they once were. Inferno Towers (now at level 3), 4 air defenses, Seeking Air mines now costing Gold and being upgradable, double damage to Pekkas from Hidden Teslas, etc. All of those things are apparently MINOR annoyances for most players. The biggest issue of all, for everyone, is their terrible AI. Because of their AI's stupidity, Dragons and Pekka will go around the opponent's base rather than actually attacking the base. This leads to them dyeing before they even get a chance to break into the main part of the base from all of the above mentioned defenses. And due to their huge training cost and the time it takes to train them, it just isn't worth it.

    Now days no one uses Pekkas and Dragons are sort of a novelty now. Not even the top players use them anymore! I just checked through the top 10 players. 4 of them had Dragons, one of which was an all dragon army, while none of them had even a single Pekka. It seems odd to me that what are supposed to be the two most powerful troops in the game are being pushed aside in favor of barbarians... Freaking barbarians? The top players are using barbarians instead of Pekkas?

    Ok, bottom line is that this needs to be fixed. So I propose this change to both of their AIs:

    Dragons and Pekka will ignore the following buildings until all other buildings have been destroyed:
    - Army Camps
    - Barracks
    - Dark Barracks
    - Builder Huts
    - Labratory
    - Spell Factory
    - Hero Altars

    So Dragons and Pekka will only target Resource buildings, defensive structures, Town Halls, and the Clan Castle until all of those buildings have been destroyed. This will help prevent the "merry go round" effect that people have been complaining about.

    So what do you guys think of this? If it would make them too overpowered then give a suggestion as to how to make it less OP. Thanks and clash on!

    No because it requires skill by clearing all the surrounding buildings before attacking the base and think about it would you want that happening to your base?

    When you're trying to get fifty percent, this would be very annoying. And the barbs are meant to lure the heroes out, not used to actually deal any damage....Still, maybe if their speed was increased by 4? Or even a bit more health- but then if you attacked, say, a maxed TH7 or 8, you could win without filling up army camp. I'd just make teslas less damaging to Pekka, and AD put out a bit less dps. Because what other troops need the AD that strong?

    I don't really see a problem with dragons. If you are careful then they work beautifully. I can understand your problem with PEKKA's though. I personally don't use them because they are too slow, too expensive, and take too long to build. However, its hard to figure out a buff that would help. If they target defenses than they are too much like giants. If they get more health, they would be too much like golems. They need a buff that sets them apart as the highest lv troop and keeps the PEKKA unique.

    Fixing the damage on buildings, while certainly helpful, isn't solving the main problem of the Dragons and Pekkas getting too easily distracted by useless buildings far outside the main part of the base. I have had dragons that decided to attack an Army Camp when there was an Archer Tower much closer that was shooting at it.

    But I guess this would make them a bit too much to handle for lower level players.

    No, the drag AI is fine. If you raid with drags then you must know to clear surrounding buildings. This suggestion would make them OP. However for PEKKA I heard that they target barracks over anything not sure if this is true but if it is then maybe it'll help your raiding strategy.

    honestly, that's their problem if they don't know how to use it. with collectors on outside, it still is a merry-go-round.

    if u clear the path first, then they go where u want them to go. and they are amazing. people have barbs for luring the heroes not for the actual attack.

    u just need to know how to use them

    I agree with you. Every single time I attack, my dragons just go around the defense and don't even bother to get the resources, the main reason why I attack. The AI'S REALLY need to be fixed and I might use barbs and Archers until they fix it.
