Only by looking at troop and spell deployment and timing can i give my opinion on a person's farming skills.

I don't care about profile stats when it comes to judging farming skills, except for outliers.
You may want to add how good they're at luring out difficult to lure CC troops. Most people are awful at luring "unlureable" clan castle troops and do attacks without doing it. A skillful farmer finds ways around luring out difficult clan castles.

Also, the little things like taking out both clan castle troops and a mortar at the same time. The timing of that is also a skill upon itself that, surprisingly, a lot of people can't do.

Just kidding. When it comes to who the best farmer is, I really don't think gold per hour determines who is the best farmer. If I were to judge, it would be based on skills, not how much time you have to play the game. I also agree with Sandalhat.

They both won gold in the Olympic Games 2012, however it was two different disciplines. 100m sprint and ~42km marathon.

    Who is the best runner?

It's the same for farming. If you want to define "best farmer" as the one doing most loot/hour it's the sprinter. However if you want to measure by Gold Grap, it'd go for the marathon kind of guy. It's a subjective opinion, what impresses you the most?
    Usain Bolt ofc

I only base it a little on gold grab. IMO collector raids take little to no skill. Storage raids are defiantly more difficult to do. Another little part is knowing all the ranges, which really isn't that hard to learn.

"Best Farmer" is a lot more difficult to decide than "Best Trophy Hunter" and even then it is an opinion.

First off lol. But on a serious note I'm not trying to use the gold per hour to prove who the best farmers are. I'm trying to say that people on this forum focus too much on how much loot people get and not enough on the skill of the player.

My thought on the subject was not directed towards you, but to people that say that GPH is what makes you the best farmer.

To me, trying to figure out the best farmer is the same as trying to figure out which chip in the bag of chips tastes the best, then trying to convince five thousand other people with different taste buds that you were correct in your evaluation of the chip's taste, and that they should believe that one's the best.

Well, loot, being a very dependent on luck factor, is a hard measure of skill. Personally, I can make bank, but have a reputation about some of my friends as "The lucky guy who can't raid". I'm rather stupid, but somehow I just barely make it, hence my 2705 trophy max as a 1 mo. TH9.

The only measure that is meaningful is total resource yield. Therefore the better farmer is the one with the best gold grab, or heroic heist or whatever resource you decide is important. This is a game that rewards time spent in playing it.

Who is the more skilful attacker or who makes better use of their time in terms of hourly gold yields is a different matter. But farming prowess is mostly dependent on persistence and tenacity rather than skill. The best farmer would be a monomaniac
This is correct of course... The most resources farmed for time spent - game over
