I couldn't care less whether you or I are on boost. Or for the more troll minded, I know you won. Just out of being a pain in the donkey, I'm now going to save that last unit until the last second.

A second thought. From personal experience. When winning, keep em rolling is the feeling. When losing, losses tend to snowball when back to back quickly. That minute or two can help you take a breath.

Last, its 3.5 minutes max. If not on clock boost, that isnt enough to rebuild my troops and BM. Get past bh6. It's not a big issue.
I'm just throwing out ideas to make builder base more fun. I still enjoy it and already think it's fun.

Again, the player doing that will be wasting their own time. I don't think anyone would do that.
I think you vastly underestimate the number of people who troll for the sake of trolling

Be more fun if the AI was sensible and not nerfed/buffed depending on what it feels like or whose turn it is to win, seemingly. DYOR. As for the BM, fix that AI for a quick win in the return of joy.... hint hint supercell, if you ain't gathered that already by now from countless posts on that subject. Again DYOR.

With the system I suggested here, I don't think it even matters. Even if some dude is waiting for me just to "troll", or even for strategy, I'd still be interested in watching whether he can beat my score or not. The current system is too non-engaging in my opinion. I mean it's still fun, but I think seeing scores would be better.

I feel like in the current system the players are disconnected. Builder base is kinda just like a different version of the main base, in that your just fighting someones village(base).
Technically you are still versing the other player, but I dunno, I feel like having scores displayed would make it feel more so, you know? If that makes sense. I think it would be a cool addition. Making battles feel more head to head. I think that's how builder base is supposed to be, right?

My idea is mostly to give the game a different feel rather than change any of the mechanics, which I enjoy. All of the mechanics remain the same, it's just changing the format of the battles.
I don't know how much of a difference it would make to how the game feels. But when I think about it, it sounds like a fun idea. Don't any of you think so?

I would be fine if it were an option for those that want it. I feel like it would be a distraction for me. I should be focusing on keeping bm alive (a split second can be the difference between hitting the ability and boom), dropping in minions to get those last few buildings, or hitting that crusher with a glider or two. Having a constantly changing number somewhere on the screen would not be helpful. Again, not opposed. As long as I can turn it off.

So I've been playing builder base, and i still feel the same way. I like it, but it's just tiny things that detract from the fun.
I thought up some more simpler ideas that might work.

So forget my original post, here is a brand new idea that i think could work:

The game remains exactly the same, no changes, except:

    1) During battle you can see the opponents % + stars near his name, but it is displayed as ???%.
The actual percentage and stars show up only after you deploy all of your troops.

(In addition to being able to see the score during an attack adding a more 'head to head' feeling to battles, The ???% until all troops are deployed eliminates any 'wait-till-my-oppenent-makes-the-first-move' games but still allows you to see each others scores. I think seeing the score is important in a 'head to head' game, especially a game like builder base, otherwise it feels less 'head to head' in my opinion.)

    2) If your attack ends early and you are clearly the loser, you have the option to leave the match in addition to watching your opponent attack/your replay etc if you choose. Then you may proceed to another match.

(This is because waiting feels kind of tedious to me and I think it detracts from the fun. Main base is more fun because you never have to wait the same way. One battle is all you need to accomplish what you need, whether its a bit of loot or some stars you always gain something, and if you lose that loss is on the player since he chose the base. But in builder base it's a game of chance, often at lower levels you lose because your outmatched, and you don't gain anything when you lose. You have no control who your matched up with which adds a tiny bit of frustation(as opposed to FUN) to the builder base portion of clash of clans. Without completely changing any match up mechanics(which i don't mind facing higher level opponents), the only way i can think of to alleviate that is by allowing the player to leave the match if he finished his attack early and his opponent has a higher score instead of having to wait for the match to end. This will make the battles flow more smoothly on clock tower boost, no matter how strong your opponents are. Seems minor, but i feel like i would have so much more fun playing that way.
Also, neither player needs to be notified if they left the match. The one player can just leave so they can get to the next match.)

What are your thoughts on this, clash community?
Do you agree that seeing your opponents score would add a nice 'head to head' feeling, or would you rather just see your opponents score at the end of your attack?
Do you dislike waiting for matches to end when your on clock tower boost, especially when you've already lost the match or does waiting on your opponent not really bother you?

    1. No, because it doesn't matter much. If all your troops are already deployed, chances are your attack will end in few seconds time. That's about the same when your attack actually ended and go to your home screen and have the ability to watch the opponent attack live.

    2. I dislike waiting, so I avoided attacking during Clock Tower boost. Plus, I tend to rush my attack when I attack during the Clock Tower boost, hence resulted in poor attacks (or less than my best attack) and losing more. Having said that, I disagree with the idea of ending the versus battle and giving you chance to move on to your next attack. The reason is it is a versus battle, both players must wait for the result before the next battle, and having a end battle option will only have any usefulness during Clock Tower boost (in which only 3 X 10 minutes each day). It doesn't really have much impacts in the grand scheme of this game.

Seems like a lot of work for SC developers all because a few users are too impatient. I'd rather see them spend their time on other QoL improvements that would benefit more of the population.

What kind of QoL improvements do most of the population want?
