Hm, new trend going around called hog farming, hope you don't fall a victim! Minion/Balloons also known by miniballin' are VERY effective for farming and trophy hunting, just cause you don't encounter them doesn't mean they don't exist in farmland or trophy, if you watch daddy's video he had some great reviews of them in champion league, and as well many others as myself. Just cause they are top players doesn't mean you have to go by there camps and bases.. When you can get the same job done but with different armies. Variety gotta love it.

As for the butter walls, thanks for reminding me to get butter from the store i almost forgot it hubby woulda killed me

Disco infernos causing more players to use ground troops - see S S video on youtube about this, he speaks the truth.

Also when farming in Gold / crsytal heavy L6 giant / spell armies are very common, walls make a huge difference when it comes to this. For example the difference between L9 & 10 walls is 1.5k hp. Usually setting these up in your core / second layer proves very effective. 1.5k extra is a lot for some giants / other troops to have to break through, thus resulting in a far more effective defence. A good base design will usually prevent wb gettting anywhere past the outter layer. This is expecially important under the new loot system since much larger amounts are available from the storages.

Same applies to champ / high master when hogs and bloons start to become less common as mentioned above.

Totally agree Fette, many are giving the suggestion that they are attacked by hogs 24/7 ect. But the reality is that a large proportion if the attacks are mostly tier 1 - maybe if you was pushing for example 2300+ you would have a different attitude. But walls are a thing that you have to do - even if your not sure about them.. Its like when you hear the tap dripping you have to turn it of lol.

I don't bother with walls. I just welcome my enemies in and offer them coffee and cake and all the resource them can carry. Works every time.

    Minions same way.
    Dragons same.
Healers and hogs, get the vibe yet?
Basically all the popular troops being used now walls isn't a factor.

    High level walls=vanity items.

Oh did i even mention jump spells?
    Don't get me started.
    /lol thread
And did you stop to think why all the popular troops negate walks? Probably not I'm guessing.

Anyway the most popular troops in the game are still Barbs and Archers, if you have low level walls prepare to be pawned by low cost farming armys. Whereas the hi level walled towns will be skipped by cheap farmers.

My walls are level 8 and level 9 and I'm really seeing the difference in quality between the 2 levels when enemy troops are a banging on them, I can't wait to get all L9's. Also Even a Mass hogger needs some clean up heros and wizards/archers, walls sometimes save a storage or 2, making that attacker go home thinking about attacking lower quality walls the next time.

Anyone that tells you hi level walls dont matter hasn't got them. Anyone, outside of BM or dragons users, that tells you they attack a town without considering wall level is not a player that you should take advice from. I use BM atm but still look at walls because hi level walls show game experience i.e. in an active town with hi level walls you can expect to find well placed traps and good CC troops because this sort of player knows whats important in the game and has taken the trouble of investing in walls, so will have taken the time to learn how to best use other defence features.

They are both important. Check the top 10 players in the game, do you see any with low level towers or walls?

Walls are a pig to farm so lots of guys don't bother, but that doesn't make them less useful than they are.
