Temporary mute feature for leaders and co’s

lets say two members in your clan are arguing about an attack and you tell them to calm down but one of them keeps talking bad about the other person and they’ve been a great member that donates before the argument happened.

i had to kick one of the people and it made me feel really guilty but i just wanted them to cut it out. so i thought of an idea that would be great instead of demoting/kicking.

    idea \/

i think it would be great if leaders and co leaders had an option where they can mute/unmute a clan mate for only a certain amount of time to prevent kicking, (any where from 1 to 24 hours.)

    thoughts?

"I don't like you chatting in the clan, so I'm going to mute you."
How do you think that player is going to react to that?

If members are arguing with each other and it doesn't stop after an event like a bad attack has been over for a while, tell them to stop or you have to manage your clan and demote or remove them if they don't act the way you expect members in the clan should.

    Very easy.
    1. Warn, once, never more than once. If it happens again,
    2. kick with a reminder in the kick message and re-invite to be nice. If it happens again,
    3. Kick, no re-invite.

Step 2 can be skipped. Don;'t skip step 1 because it is important for the rest of the clan to understand. They will start giving your warnings for you.

Say this in the kick message. "Sorry to do this, but I have to make you hear this:...". Followed by a re-invite, it is pretty gentle. It is like pulling a person from the party into a private room for a minute before going back to the party.

Temporary muting a player is a poorer solution, because you are not teaching them to self-moderate, you are moderating them. They have not made the change themselves, and so it is not an enduring cultural change for them.
