As as for me personally, well I haven't found loot to be overly dire from the few raids I have had the last couple of days, but because of this artificial situation we are in I am not exactly raving about it being wonderful either. Loot has always had good and bad days, as long as the game has been around. However personally I found that once I reached TH9 about 5 months ago or whenever it was that the sustained droughts started setting in, then the combination of SC changing how much you could lose by logging off and my continued transition to part-time casual player plus reaching TH10 has meant that 6 out of 7 days I try to raid I just give up in disgust after 20 mins of nexting through 5-60k gold bases and just ride shields instead. Spending so long searching is not an "investment", it just gets very, very boring.

As for the uber raiders with their big loot hauls, good on them and congrats. It doesn't change for one minute the fact that I have no desire to stay online for 12 hours a day like they do, nor does it improve what bases appear on my iPad. As a TH10 you can only raid TH9s and the very occasional TH8 that is loaded up. And if you are not fortunate to be finding collector bases (which I have not seen many of for a very very long time) then it means full armies and often spells so you are limited to 1-2 raids per hour at most to take out their storages. It is just a broken formula for people who actually have real lives beyond TH8/9, and should they ever come out with a TH11 the people who either need psychiatric help or are flashing the cash are going to stand out even more

im a TH 9 and yes loot it worse that it was before the update, thank god i updated my TH before the loot system so i actually managed to get some loot without loosing it all

But seriously...if loot persists to be bad for you, come check out the Centum Group. Join Nexus and do the trials...
its a real eyeopener and I bet you will learn a thing or two or five and in future you will laugh at the ' oh loot is just awful' threads ... because it simply is not true that loot is bad all the time.

Just check out the thread about icarus and you get an idea how many hardcore looters are over there.

Hey kiwi dude, that comment wasn't referring to you anyway. I know its hard the loot penalty for a th9/10 but quite obviously loot has been improving. I dunno what trophy range your at and that might the factor that is affecting your loot problems. For a start I was referring to the one who started the thread and he didn't actually define what town hall and trophy range he was at, and normally it's either a person who simply forgot or someone new. I also had similar loot issues like you guys have when I was hanging around in huge gold league and loot sucked, look now im at silver 2 and I have so much elixir i dunno what to do with it.

It's honestly bad at some places. People just never satisfied. The game isn't your life, take a break for a day (or a year) and come back.

Loot wasn't and never will be bad for TH8's so I'm not sure what you are basing your opinion on. At TH10, its been VERY streaky.

I've noticed that as well. At 10pm-3AM its the worst time for looting in CST(Illinois). The money zone(no pun intended) is from 6pm-9pm mondays, tuesdays, thursdays, and sometimes fridays. Sundays are good about half the time.

It's all good Shakeel, and yes at TH8 (and eventually at TH9) overflowing lixi is a common problem. You are not the first to make the "you must be a bad farmer" comment in response to someone posting about not finding good bases to attack, and no doubt you won't be the last either. It just isn't a general comment I like to see propagated on these forums... Sure in some cases someone might not know how to best optimise troops for raids per hour etc. but that doesn't change the fact that if you don't find bases above 60k to raid you aren't going to get damn annoyed with the game...

I haven't started any "loot is bad" threads, but I have added agreement to a couple of them. My issues are less with the details of the loot change but more with the overall game formula and how little SC has done with it this year. Up to TH8 CoC is a great game. At TH9 when you finally have most of the worthwhile toys to play with you discover that their enormous build times (bigger camps and heavier troops), sleep times (heroes) and upgrade costs (5m-8m for just about everything) mean you are forced to play the game less, unless you are lucky enough to stumble on some collector bases to raid. And those have dried up in a big bad way. I think maybe 1 in 10 people I knew from our clan at TH8 are still playing the game regularly if at all, the attrition rate is pretty horrendous. You go from greatest loot contests where people are regularly getting outrageous loots and having a blast, to the situation we have now where you raid 1-2 times per hour after 10-20 minutes of searching and most of the time settle for a pretty crappy return for that time spent.

i just think SC dropped the ball big time with this game. It could have been so much better than what it now is, which is the domain of the "grinders" at the end. You go from playing continuously (and I mean playing, not searching!) at the early TH levels to a point where the joy of the actual raid gets lost in the dullness of waiting for troops and spells etc. And thanks to the loot change logging off for an hour before your next raid means you run a very real risk of going backwards. It is killing the game, apart from those who have a manic obsession or third party software and choose to stay online.

Just very frustrating having spent so much time and effort to get the big boys toys that you don't get to play with them very often. We have all done the "overnight draggie/pekka" builds at TH8, once you hit TH9 and 10 you add balloons/hogs and spells to that list and you find it becomes your standard arsenal to crack the only bases you can find with any loot...
