6 research potions vs. 1 hammer

6 research potions cost 120 medals and 1 hammer cost 120 medals.

    Which one is better?

If whatever you're looking at in the Lab is less than 2.5 days the Potion would be better, but anything more and the Hammer would be more efficient.

to summarise: the research potion sucks.

Depends on when you use it. For speed up it's good, but for instant upgrades it's bad.
For example, if you want to sleep when the upgrade will soon be finished, it's better research potions, so the lab won't stop working. But if u want instant finish, then hammer much more better

If you lab upgrades take longer than 2 days 6 hours you a better off with hammers. And this is just on time saving. If you factor in the resources... I would hammer anything over 2 days vs using potions...

Finishing the lab to sleep is what gems a used for. You hit a potion and you could very well still fall asleep while waiting for the hour to pass.

Weighing up the value you get for the prices of the different things you can buy with medals, research potions are a complete waste, as are builder potions now. Only thing worth spending medals on now, is hammers.

Agree. In its present form research potion offers no incentive to buy for medals or gems.

Lab continues to be the choke point in upgrades. They may offer us a sixth builder, but every new troop level, every spell,, every troop added to the game still has to process through the same single lab we had when TH8 was the highest level.

Lab needs to be able to work on more than one upgrade at a time. Could be one elixir and one DE, or one troop and one spell.

With two upgrades going the research would be a little better option. Not perfect, but better.
UNICORNS! I want unicorns. Any clan that gets a 3 war win streak should have one villager replaced by a frisky little unicorn that frolics and gambols about the village. Let's make this happen.

People in the I&FR sub were constantly asking for it. Many of us said there was no need for it. SC gave it to you. And based on the replies above, it's pretty clear there wasn't much need for it.
