It has been posted often. If you read the MUST READ sticky thread you will see that it is ruled out for now. I imagine this is because there are players from all over the world meaning that it would have to be timed for players in particular time zones.

I would think it would have to be universal. Which means that some farmers would always be in darkness. Even then, I would think, it would be difficult to program.

I am fine with it always being bright and sunny.

Me too, bright and sunny is fairly rare here in the west of Ireland.

I don't imagine this would even be difficult to do. They just put a blue filter over everything, darken the screen a little, and turn on the lights in the street and the house. I would love to see this over Halloween.

I think it would be fun for about a day or two and then it would just be annoying.

While this would be cool as a feature for Halloween. For an every day sun up till sun down, for every time zone across the world, for every player to be matched with their zone's sun journey across the sky.... that is a whole lot of coding nightmares. I would rather the Supercell team work on something a bit more useful.
If you REALLY want darkness, just turn the brightness down on your device.

I love a good night mode - especially for Halloween and Christmas. Twinkling lights....oh yes! I have loved this idea for years, inspite of the naysayers/powers that be. I hope it happens one day!
