Are Valley token colors intentionally unbalanced?

Iíd love it if someone from SC would answer this question, but Iím also interested in other playersí experiences.

Based on my experience so far this season, thereís one token color thatís much harder to find than the others. I need equal numbers for the store items I want, and Iíve been trying to plan my tasks for that purpose. But thereís one color that Iím having trouble finding. Iíve spend a lot of time sitting and waiting for building requests to expire and change, hoping to get the color I need, but that approach isnít working well. Iíve also tried just going somewhere, hoping that previously hidden requests will open up with the color I need, but that hasnít worked well either.

So Iím wondering if Iím just having bad luck Ė or if SC has deliberately unbalanced the token colors the same way they unbalance everything else we need three of in equal numbers (BEMs etc). What has your experience been?

Do you have a few order request in mind to compare? Does your friend in the same valley see the same rewards?

My current wallet has 179 151 190 without paying attention to rewards. I just do daily quest and hunt chicken. A few notes from screenshot I took:

    Blue Red Green Product
    20 15 0 1 feather
    19 Delivery 2 nodes
    7 11 Delivery 2 nodes
38 1 buttered popcorn group task of 3
    31 9 1 bacon & egg group task of 3
    11 19 1 carrot pie
    14 3 1 bacon
    9 7 1 chili pepper
    11 5 4 carrots
    10 7 4 carrots
    21 9 1 grilled onion

Notice the carrot order does not have the same reward in two buildings (2 nodes vs 4 nodes away from my current position).

Thanks for your response and the screenshot. I don’t know if others in my group are seeing the same rewards, but even if they are, that might just mean that our entire group is getting more of some colors than others.

I don’t know how to make a chart, but I can see 5 requests, and the totals for all of them are 66 blue, 62 red, and 0 green.

I don’t know what to do, because green tokens are the ones I need most, so I don’t want to spend what little gas I have to get more blue and red ones and make my “wallet” even more unbalanced. But that leaves me stuck where I am with nothing to do in the Valley.

If anyone has suggestions about how to deal with this issue, I’d appreciate them.

The tokens are random, but they have no weight. So, you should get equally all colors, but as it is random, you can get more of some and less of some.

    Cheers,

Sure! I am probably going to do a Q&A about the Valley next week when the Valley has been running for a week, and most players have "got it" by then. Let's see!

    Cheers,

Speaking for myself, I'm willing to wait until August 2019 for your Q&A because it's summer in Finland and it grows shorter every day. Before you know it, autumn will be coming around the corner to usher in another long, cold, and dark winter.

Nick, please enjoy your time off in July. I'm sure there are more pleasant activities for you to do in July than looking at your device and answering questions from us. I hope to see you and the rest of Team Hay Day in August.

EDIT: I'm reminded of Clash of Clans Community Manager Darian doing an AMA on Reddit in 2018 explaining the importance of July to Finland. Thank you to PaulEF for transcribing Darian's AMA and posting it to the CoC subforum. I'm excerpting the part about Finland in July. https://forum.supercell.com/showthre...1#post11455242

However, in Finland, July is generally a time of holiday, travel, and celebration. It's not just Supercell that takes time off in the summer - it's a large part of Finland that does. Many businesses are closed for the month of July. Summer is very important in Finland, as it falls on a Thursday.

Ok that last line was a joke, but it highlights how long and dark and cold the winters are here. People spend autumn through early spring bundled up indoors so they're anxious to get out and experience sunlight again. So it's very common for Finns to spend July in their summer cottages, travel abroad, or just relax for a bit.
Finland has a very good work life/personal life balance ethic where they try to ensure people don't get burned out. Everyone's entitled to time off....

    What the hell?
The L bunny is elusive as the Scarlet Pimpernel.
Yet many farms heard recently the toll of the bell.
Thank you so much sweet Supercell.
