Gold grab understated ➡️ lost interest in coc

I know i am not the only one whose gold grab is understated. I also know that we can only live with it. But i really hope to express how it has affected me.

I achieved gold grab in November 2012. After that i maxed all lvl 8 walls by February and max all lvl 9 walls somewhere around May or June 2013. By July 2013, i already have 70 lvl 10 walls.

All my friends that were farming for lvl 10 walls went th10 as they felt that farming for lvl 10 walls was grinding, but i carried on farming lvl 10 walls from May or June 2013.

When the profile feature is released, my gold grab reflects slightly less than 200 million. I tried to farm another 80 lvl 10 walls since then, and my gold grab is now slightly more than 400 million. Even if i maxed all my walls to lvl 10, my gold grab will still be less than a billion.

i don't see the point of playing coc anymore. My effort in raiding and grinding from december 2012 to June or July 2013 is totally ignored by the system.

Sorry if i sounded like i am ranting. I suck at trophy pushing. I am only quite good at farming, yet my efforts is not reflected in my profile because i started early. I have really lost my interest in playing the game because of that.

Well, your efforts should be quite clearly reflected in your base, which is far more important anyway.

I think lots of people care about gold grab to show off how good a farmer they are, so I can understand that.

Also, what comes to mind when you have low GG count with an expensive base?

Yeap, people may assume you to be a heavy gemmer - which is kinda frowned upon amongst farmers(I personally am fine with it).


I do feel the thread starter but I'm going to have to say that the profile feature was a great update, and should stay. It's a pity though.

Thanks. I am only quite good at farming, so I played for many hours everyday in order to grab as much gold as I could. But it is not reflected in my profile, and i always got accused of gemming my base. And I bought the pirate flag and the mighty statue because they look really cool to me, so, to many players, my base really looks like a gemmed base.

With the latest update, i couldn't find loots at all. I read your guide and thought maybe i should try farming at 3000 trophies. But i suck at trophy pushing.

Now i can't farm, I can't push, and my efforts in farming from December 2012 till June 2013 is also ignored by my profile. I even begin to hate my base.

One of my clanmate has only lvl 8 walls, but his gold grab is almost double mine as he started playing in April. A base with mostly lvl 8 walls, yet gold grab almost doubled another base with mostly lvl 10 walls. I don't feel proud about my base anymore.

I am almost in your situation.. I've got 70 L10 walls with 500M gold grab.. And you feel pretty bad when a th8 with skulls but with much higher gold grab comes >.<

But it's also a motivation for me.. Every time I feel sick of farming I just look at my GG and start to farm with new energy again!

Yup. That is a good point. Which is why i think maybe it is about time i stop playing. A game is supposed to be fun so that we can spend our free time on it. For me, the fun has disappeared when i realised that my effort in the game will never be reflected in my profile. Maybe i should spend my free time on something else that will make me feel happy or proud of myself. Thanks.
