dont expect an update this week. guess is still for june 24 as it contains the new legend league and i think it is kind of ridiculousness to bring it on before trophy season ends.

Unless the new legends season will run alongside calendar months like the season pass does.

In which case - do it next week and give people a couple of weeks to get used to it before a full season....

We've been wanting to introduce a 6th Builder for a long time. This update provided us the opportunity to do so, while creating an interesting, and perhaps fun, way of tying it to the Home Village.

There are always challenges when we try to introduce a new feature to the game. Especially one that players have been wanting for a while. With previous Builders, there was an ever-increasing Gem cost tied to it. So when it came to a 6th Builder, there was a no-win situation for each:

Have players pay for 6th Builder with Gems: OMG THIS IS A CASH GRAB! SUPERCELL IS JUST GREEDY!
Give players the opportunity to get a 6th Builder for free: OMG YOU'RE FORCING US TO PLAY!

Yes, there are progress advantages to having a 6th Builder, and we knew going in that this feature could be potentially controversial among some subset of players. This was also one of the reasons behind the Builder Potion price adjustment in the League Shop.

When we said that we wanted to minimize how Builder Base affected Main Village, if you harken back to my earlier posts, you'll see it largely refers to the Gear-Ups and how beneficial those upgrades will be for players. Having a 6th Builder, again - does provide a progressive advantage, provides very minimal tactical defensive/offensive advantage.

You could ask players to maximize troops, heroes, walls or building in MAIN base to get the builder traveling from BB.

Now I few that I'm in a disadvantage with other players. They will be ably to progress their village at least 20% faster.

Would be more honest if I was told that things done in BB may get you to progress faster in MAIN base back when it was release.
BB was and always will be a "second-account" like. For some, BB is just a gem base.

This is a s**t move.
You guys know that a good portion of players base dont like the BB and you keep adding things forcing us to play.

I will be honest I completely hate builder base (I dont think I'm alone) however I have somehow got my bb to close to max bh8 but looking at troop upgrades the costs are just excessive and now I remember why i stopped playing . 3.4 million to upgrade cannon carts and only get 120k per attack ,they need to increase loot because it's just so hard

In the YouTube of Otto building it showed four requirements. Three of them are obvious, but was not sure what the gear one would be. Any guesses?

I far from missed your point.
I understand you think it is unfair it is one particular troop that you don’t use.

I was merely surmising as to why it was that PARTICULAR troop rather than any of the others.

It is the only unique one....

Unique one!! Well maybe it's unique but still I don't think it should specifically be a single troop. Because bb players are divided into groups. Since loot is so limited, one can't max each and every troop. So, basic division of players is air and ground, so probably it should have at least choice between an air troop and cannon cart.

Maybe there's a minority of players who had played since the beginning and have maxed all the troops as bh9 was not introduced for so long. But I think, giving priority to cannon carts only is bad for the players who focused on air and couldn't get carts completely or partially maxed.

If the main advantage of getting OTTO is on the main village why would you make this (never ending) requirement list of tasks on the builder Hall?

You could easily have made an equally (never ending) requirement list BUT with tasks on the main village. (win-win situation)


I feel that was a blow below the belt.

I hope operation blue skies turns out to be all it promised to be.
