With the requirements so steep on BH progression to obtain Otto will it be that big of a deal in day to day wars?
For years players on the forum have said that "BH is a waste, no one plays it, the number of players that max are such a small % of the player base it is a waste of time."


So if the above assumptions are true, how many players will actually have an advantage?

A lot more players would drag themselves over the sea if they knew 6th builder is coming to the main village. SC could at least have said something if this was on their list for a long time, according to what Darian said.

It actually gives the rationale in-game: the Master Builder needs to perfect building proper axles for Otto to roll around properly. The Mega Tesla upgrade provides it with power, and the Battle Machine upgrade allows it to work without the Master Builder.

This is bogus. The master builder could just look at the wall wrecker in the main village to figure out how to perfect the axle design.

Now that's what I call a fair argument !! IF 99% of players Hate BB and don't play it then it means that 99% players will also not have OTTO !!

1) All 3 gear-ups (requires level 8 Multi Mortar and level 8 Mortar [TH10])
2) Level 9 Mega Tesla
3) Level 18 Cannon Carts
4) Level 30 Battle Machine

Huh. I am now at TH 11. When I have finished doing everything, maybe I have become TH 12 max.

Well that's your Classic Reddit. The subreddit have to go with the point/concern ruiling the majority. And seeing that I'm very surprised that already a lot of people are against this way of having a new builder.

Am I correct in thinking that this is the only troop in bb that isn’t a twist of a troop in main village?

If so; that’s possibly the reason (and they then wrote a narrative around requiring axles for Otto).

On the contrary, I guess the BH is pretty well played. Maybe not loved, but even in low trophyrange I see mostly maxed, or close to maxed bases every day.

Would be a possible explanation. Still it's a special troop, only worthwhile for ppl that are already using it. Balance vs 'realism'.
But I guess I'll just let that one go. Does hardly matter anyways, since thanks to my long-lost account, my BM is upgrading to lvl 12 right now and I'll have a harder time reaching max on that one, than on the carts.

You can't use bb troops in the main village, so that's not a valid reason. The axle thing is just stupid. Wall wreckers require much stronger axles than a cannon cart. They are much larger and need to be able to hold bigger payloads.

This is not true, the percentage is even smaller.
I have maxed builder base on main account BUT i don't like it at all (never did), i play it ONLY because i anticipated something like this to happen as SC stated in the past that they will tie the villages together in future and gear ups are not the only thing.

When you have this kind of feature in the game the only way to really check what percentages likes it is by running statistics on:
How many players attack AFTER loot cap reached.

we can't have this data and i guess SC wont release it as well. So let's just agree it's a small percentage but how small is a mystery.

One of the reasons why I continued to play BH in spite of not enjoying it, for such a time as this. It's the fear of missing out that kept me going. At least I don't have too much to catch up on.

I have said this on more than one occasion.....and here we are...if you want to get the best out of the Main Village (aka Clash of Clans) you will need to play the BB (aka a side game). Yes I have played the BB exactly because I feared this eventuality...

To reiterate.....I love Clash of Clans....I do NOT like BB....yet I feel compelled to keep playing the BB to get the sixth builder..... I have not played the BB in two months (since I maxed it) as I’m not interested....yet I will be back “playing” it so I can get the sixth builder....

I do not understand why SC feel compelled to keep intertwining CoC and BB? You should have just left the BB as a separate side game and avoid all the push back....

And don’t give me the rubbish that “you don’t have to play the BB” or “it’s not a huge advantage”.....as it is clear that it will create an advantage and that people will feel compelled to get the sixth builder even though they don’t want to play the BB....
