we are locked into war, so no hurry. I too will wait until after I finish work.
So far as the reason for the experiment. It is to show that extreme manipulation is still possible, with significant gain for a large player base.
Maybe some pay no heed to the win streak leader board, but many do.
SC fixed the lop sided problem due to the problems it was causing for those that didnt want to choose that build path, so why not fix this problem for those that do.
Seems only fair to me.
CoC is a game. I play it for fun. "Engineered" accounts/bases did impact my fun experience when they were meaning (e.g. until they had a huge advantage in wars vs balanced accounts/bases).
Now that advantage is gone at least for my clan where top 4-5 bases (TH12 from max to well developed) are able to nullify any advantage any "engineered" base could bring to the table. I don't care if they achieve any ridicolous win streak putting a weird lineup. That's up to them and with that lineup they won't ever be matched to us.
I'm not in that portion of the community who wants this to be fixed. TH12 fixed the issue we had.

It exposes a loop hole that has existed for a very long time, if it were well known then many clans would do it. One thing to note is that if you were to self-match wars back to back, you match in 15 minutes but every other clan has hours or even a day between wars.
Let's say your clan was doing well and had a 15 win streak, all the clan is cheering and although it may not be much to some, you did it together and it's the best you have ever done. Then you see the guy next to you who moves a few accounts, destroys 1 building, and has a 20 win streak and you both started at the same time.

Oh I think they will care, Darian said they wanted to close engineering loopholes at the beginning of TH12. Pretty big loophole if you can outperform every clan in the game with a couple unique bases and an hour of making TH3's.
Once far enough, can cheery pick all the quotes and post a more readable version of the experiment in the bugs section making sure to highlight that it takes less than 5 minutes to create a TH3, and add in suggestions of a fix.
There isn't much more we can do as players.
EDIT: I think it may also be quicker if the results were presented by a Game Specialist, or a Forum Mod.

Anybody that is big enough, is unlikely to be directly affected by engineered accounts.
But until the change, I am sure you had plenty to complain about.
And it wasnt TH12 that nullified them, it was the build all policy, which was a direct assault on offensively lop sided accounts.
Without that build all, then Th12 would have made the problem worse than ever.
But, since you take the selfish route.. How about..
Once your base is max 12, it is no longer any good to SC, unless you are one of the elite players that competes at championship level.
Your max build is ready to use for life, or until the next hall drops, so zero income from you.
Those engineered accounts however, are always fluid. They need to change quickly, once the MMA throws them a war where that streak is on the line aka the Martian vs Noobs saga.
You or me would simply take the loss, since 3 digit streaks is beyond those that dont manicure. But a big streak forces those clans to spend, and spend big, when the need arises.
Afterwards, those accounts are useless, and need replacing.
Long winded way of saying engineers will gem for life, whereas maxers hit end game, and the revenue stops.
Since gem sales keep the lights on, I think it would be wise for SC to prevent them from leaving the game.
And since those sales (along with growing max type accounts of course), also allow people to play for free, and carry those that are max game, so it is also in their interest to keep them from leaving the game.
Anything and everything that could cause players to cease playing is a problem to everyone, whether directly affected or not.
Lop sided engineering will almost certainly have hit SC hard in losing players that simply gave up. .
Losing the engineered community could well do the same, since their reason for playing is being nullified by a flaw in the system.
