I might quit because of the Builder Base

I'm a casual player in a casual guild. We've been mostly avoiding the Builder base, just building stuff up off collectors. But now Supercell is forcing it down our throats with missions on that side for clan games, season challenges... and it is even more of a grind than the regular base.
    The gameplay is uninteresting
    The matchmaking is failing
The whole mechanism makes trying to be good pointless, you'll just get matched versus more developed bases until you lose
That side is rife with bots
Our own development is incredibly gated

I wish it could be ignored again. But since it can't, I'll probably ignore the whole game.

    1. Nobody is forcing you to play the builder base.
    2. Clan games and season challenges have plenty of main village challenges mixed in with builder base challenges, so idk how you think it's being shoved down our throats when you can continue to ignore it and still complete both clan games and season challenge.
    3. Just because YOU find it uninteresting doesn't mean everyone else shares your opinion. Supercell has openly stated that their statistics show that more people play the builder base than those who don't. There is just a far more vocal minority of players like you who complain about it.
    4. If you're getting matched against more developed bases then how about trying to develop your own base?
    5. Matchmaking has never been failing. It has been working exactly intended. My guess is you either don't understand how it works or don't agree with how it works. Those of us that do manage just fine.
    6. It's a shame that the builder base's mere existence is enough for to quit the game entirely. That said, don't let the door hit you on the way out ✌️ Be sure to leave your storages and collectors on the outside of your base for the rest of us to steal

The matching is based solely on your trophy level: THAT'S ALL. Nothing else.
As for season challenges: you don't have to do them all to reach 2600 pts. Skip the bb challenges.
Clan games: delete out the bb challenges until normal ones take their place.
Instead of spending your time complaining about a feature *you* dislike, find solutions to deal with *your* dis-satisfaction.

Builder Base can definitely be played on it's own and has no real effect on home base. Heck, even the gear ups for the main village leave much to be desired. You can ignore BB and still be fine. With that said, there are actually tons of people that love BB like myself.

I feel like most casual players have a negative bias of the BB because they think it is to be played like the main village. It is not. BB is an offense first rushing system that encourages development of attacking skills in real time battles. This does a very good job of separating skilled players from the unskilled. The fact is, most casual players will never reach the top tiers in their lifetime because the live 1v1 system requires experience, dedication, and talent. And this is ok. Play at your own pace and skill level. Lots of people have maxed out BB without ever touching 5k+.

Let me guess, trying to max BH6?
go to 8, take your 3 wins, progress
many of us are maxed and bored with lack of BH content for many moons.

I actually find it funny, you're not even required to win the one daily builder base task you can do, you just get a medal for participation. And in clan games, tons of tasks are based around taking out a set number of a certain target... Like say destroy 5 crushers for example, and you don't actually have to win these either. They make it incredibly easy, so I don't really see an issue. If you're bored of the game, best of luck in your future endeavors.
    Disclaimer to the above post:
When offered the 'Game Specialist' title, I misread and thought it said 'Special Game-ist'. Since mama always told me I was special, I figured it was a perfect fit and just signed right up. But I do like blue so I'll still try my best... if you were hoping for a better answer, you might have to wait for someone smarter to come along.

If you have been avoiding the Builder Base, your League placement is probably too high for the base strength and you have a hard time winning, which leads to frustration and further avoiding that part of the game.

If you attack to win 3 times every day, you will eventually end up in the right League for your base strength and then 3-5 attacks a day is all you need to do on the BuilderBase. How that is a grind, I don't know.

Many people have not yet figured out how to play the Builder Base. They get frustrated that they get beaten up by "higher levels" without realizing why they get beaten up and exactly what the difference between their own base and the "higher levels" is. This part of the forum has a lot of information about this.

With regards to the Season Challenges:

    Dailies:
    - get ONE star on Builder Base
    - get ONE star on Main Base
    - stay online long enough to donate 15 troops

Depending on your league placement and clan activity, all these can be done during your mid-morning mud dump. None of these dailies can be listed under "forcing it down our throats".

    Weeklies:
    - these challenges are suppose to take a week.. they are NOT supposed to be possible to finish in a couple of attacks.
    - some of these challenges are impossible to finish. You can't build anything if you are maxed, you can't empty your collectors if you can't spend and you can't use eDragons if you don't have them.

You do NOT need all the points offered, to get rewards. If you play normally, maybe adjusting your army to use specific troops, you WILL finish most of the challenges before the end of the month .. and you will have access to all the rewards about 14 days in-

If you find the game or part of the game uninteresting.. don't play it.

    This sums it up perfectly.

For the record, my BB is maxed, walls included, and I used spammy attacks without any skill needed. Floating between 3800 and 4000 points. Not my fav part of the game, but a nice way of getting free gems, and easy clan games tasks when clouds are bad.

I'm sorry but we are not going over this ground again. Some good posts above but there really is no need to come here simply to complain that those nasty people at Supercell are 'forcing' you to accept free stuff for doing practically nothing.
