    Defending Level 3 Witches At Th10?

    Hello. I feel like the new level 3 witches make th10 a bit too easy. I was looking at the stats before the update and thought it wouldn't make a huge difference. Turns out level 2 to 3 is pretty signifcant in practice. Does anyone have any advice on how to defend it as a th10, generally near max th10s. Because i am finding no way to defend them well! I feel like either 1) the th10s in my clan's bases arent good for lvl 3 witches or 2) that level 3 witches are indeed too powerful.

    Our bases used to defend 3 stars of variants of witch attacks before.

    If anyone has any good base designs as an example, that would be great! Thank you!

    When I speak of witches, I generally mean the variants of it. Bowlers, healers and witches. Sometimes just bowlers and witches. What are your opinions on level 3 witches? Too strong? Or does the right base design defend them? What do you put in the cc? What witch strstegy variant does your th10s get hit by the most? Thank you.

    That's what I built against witches a few days ago. In Theory it should defend against witches, but honestly I think you can always 3 star a th10 base with witches somehow.

    All I know now is that I'm probably not going to be sticking around TH10 too much longer... Yikes.

    I’d say this is the natural evolution of the game. Once TH8 was the highest townhall, shortly after that TH9. Those were hard-mode, like TH12 now is. TH8 has not been hardmode for years, TH9 the same thing. TH10 now gradually gets easier too. I don’t think that’s a bad thing. If you notice that it’s getting too easy for you to 3 star people, it’s probably time to move on. It’s not the first time that existing trooplevels are brought into lower townhalls.

    I honestly think it’s a good thing that offense > defense at lower TH’s. A huge part of the playerbase is pretty casual and it would cause a lot of people to leave the game if you have to be a very good attacker to have a chance at 3 starring other people in war, while you’re not even in the high end part of the game (i.e. TH12).

    I’m sure there’s a way to protect your base better against witch attacks. Some game specialists will certainly be able to help you better with that than this filthy casual . It’s not like witch attacks are a certain win either. I have seen so many witch attacks failing on my base (TH9 with now TH8 defenses) because they don’t know anything about how to deploy troops properly or taking out the CC. I’m sure SC will take action if witches are too strong in TH10. Remember that the 3 star rate used to be really low there and that’s not what SC wants.

    What makes that base good against witches? Can you talk about the aspects that go into it?

    You can't open up both inferno compartments with a wall wrecker or a jump. Infernos are very important and help to kill flanking troops. Those Giant Bomb + 2 small bombs are witch traps - In a Bowitch or witchslap/frozen witch attack you have flanking troops that go around the base on both sides. The witch trap used to one-hit witches, unfortunately Lv.3 witches barely survives it and hopefully a defense takes her out. The th on the far left side leaves only one possible Wall wrecker entry and you can predict that almost every witch based attack will come from the right side. The troll tesla on the far right might cause a time fail, as witches are a rather slow unit.

    The base isn't entirely designed against witches, it should be a well rounded base. It should also defend well against hogs, miners, Lavaloon, Electrone and Dragbat. As cc I recommend a Lavahound+Balloon.

    But it is not very strong against Electrodragons, so I wouldn't recommend the base if your base is likely to get attacked by a th11.

    TH10 has been the new TH9 for a while. When witches were buffed a while back for TH9 and TH10, witch slap was considered to be too OP for TH9 so it was nerfed and impacted both TH9/TH10. Now an extra level is available for TH10 again which is probably close to the prior buff. It makes sense that wars will start to get easier for TH10 with TH13 likely coming up next year.
