Nice base, but only thing I dont like too much is how both the storages are on the same side. As someone who uses BARCH, BAM, BAG, and those types of armies, its easier for me to take out someone's storages when they are both on the same side.

I'm not sure about everyone else but I value my Dark and Gold storages equally as they are both a valuable resource that I must protect. That's why i've put my 'valuable storages' in a triangle so it is much harder to get them all. This means if someone is farming for gold they can attack from one side, maybe get both storages but then will probably fail to get my DE ,as it will be on the opposite side.

I'm using this one at the moment, both seem good, still have to decide which one is better. Both have a triangular defense and well protected resources.
By comparing the 2 bases, i would prefer to use the spiral sanctuary. One of the reasons - 2 of your mortars are quite exposed.

I'd like to share with you my newest design- The Spiral Sanctuary. I've used it ever since I started Town Hall 7 and it has performed wonderfully. It hosts a wide range of features, including a centralised Clan Castle, well protected Gold/Dark Elixir storages and a triangle of Mortars.
So, without further ado I presented to you...
Positives~Centralised Clan Castle
Clan castle is the highest DPS unit in the game, it is important you make it hard for your opponents to lure your troops by having your Clan Castle as central as possible.
Triangular Mortars
Splash damage defenses are your best and biggest hope against swarms of archers/barbs/goblins that will try to steal your precious gold. Keep them in a triangle formation for the best splash coverage possible!
Separated Storages
The whole point of your base is to defend your loot! If you separate your key storages (Gold & Dark Elixir) enemies can't just focus their attack on one specific area and steal all your gold.

U may loose both ur storages is there is a full force th8 raid from the left side so I suggest that u replace the lower gold storage with the DE storage it will become harder for the attacker to get both of them
In my first defense with the defense, the result's not so good.
I have all lvl7 walls, 2 teslas upgrading.
A TH8 attacked me with :
50 archers, 15 giants, ten wallbreakers, 2 healers, 27 barbs, barb king, 1 healing spell and 1 lightning spell.
Attacking from the bottom-right side, he lured the cc troops by using two giants, and killed them with barb and arch.
He puts all his giant, and some wbs to get the air defense. While the giants are trying to reach it, he deploys 2 healing spell (at different time). After the right AD is destroyed, his WB's did well job. He broke the bottom gold compartment and also DE compartment. and boom.
In total, 1 of 2 gold storages is destroyed, 1 of 2 elixir storages is destroyed and Dark Elixir is destroyed too.
77% two star loss.
Interesting, the base served pretty well for me against the Giant Healer combo but I guess your attacker was more skillful. I've updated the base so it is harder for people to use giants to lure- I will update the original post when I have the time. This will hopefully solve the problem.
Good idea Silver. Anyone that uses this design is free to switch the storages around according to what they are saving up. At the time where I took the pictures I was saving my DE so that's why it was more protected than some of the gold.
