Sure, the troop AI isnt the greatest, but hey, deal with it. Attacking in this game is already WAAAAAAAYYYY OP. If we got to direct our troops with like spells for example. Id be up in champs in a day. Just drop a rage right on the th, and spam 10 dragons. Learn to counter the base and change your strategy if it doesnt work. If you found difficulty attacking that base, make your base similar so you can make it tougher on your attacker. The game is based on strategy, just learn to play with the AI so it does what you want. Believe me, I get pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ myself when my drags decide to wander off...
I am talking about 2600+ trophies not golden league.

There's no point of discussing AI in this topic anymore because replies (except 1) are not even relevant. Thank you for all who replied.

    Wow.
The topic that i wanted to discuss was the primitive AI. I never wanted to offend anyone however replies (except Phal) were not even related to AI. Thank you for your contribution.

I have watched some of the videos of the people you recommended. However in most of the videos people use couple of freeze spells for the zone they can't attack because of distractions or they just go for small buildings to increase % after their main army dies. My point is that we should have more control over our troops for unique strategies. (By using spells or drawing a path that i want my army to follow. Being able to set priorities between defensive buildings could be a solution as well.) At this moment most of the players are using very similar strategies that aim only percentage. Just by doing enough practice/copying most of the players can increase their trophy counts. In my opinion aiming to destroy barracks/collectors/huts should not be enough in a strategy game.

For Jazzathegreat: What i said was not offensive. I was pointing out a truth.

Addition: There are very few variables to affect a win/lose. Applying the same memorized strategy almost guarantees a win. Top players keep increasing their trophy counts because of this.
first of all, the freeze spells are used in that strategy not to stop infernos from attacking the army, but only to stop infernos when they lock on to heroes. You seem to think you already know it all and this may be part of the reason you are having trouble.

Second, While I agree that most troop AI's are primitive at best, this is made up for by the massive amount that offense is overpowered in comparison to defense. A high ranking player can 2 star a maxed out base with any layout, this is why when you look at the leaderboards they all have so few defensive wins. There are actually quite a lot of variables that effect win / loss, the only reason the videos of top players look repetitive and simple is because they have perfected their strategy to react to and overcome any surprise or obstacle that pops up during a fight.

While picking off outer buildings to get 50% is one strategy, it is by no means the only strategy or even a very popular one at that.

If memorizing troop deployment / spell usage is so easy that it garentees a win every time liek you say it does then what's stopping you from doing the same?

I originally suggested you change your strategy, but after seeing how dismissive you are being to everyone's posts it looks like you more so need to change your attitude. If you assume you already know it all then you wont learn how to improve and thus won't get better.

Maybe we could just drag troops dropped to anywhere we want on the screen, and get them to attack any building we desire

The OP was poorly thought out and reflects badly on the poster and then he goes on the offensive when people contribute (constructively) to his rather daft ideas and thread.
