Freeing it is to have an empty barn and also to enjoy farming instead of chasing orders feeding townies etc etc.
In my first day I ve been thru many emotions...but its good!
Yes, grfields, I know what you mean, it took forever to feed my dogs cuz I had to get the soybeans to feed the pigs to get the bacon! What an accomplishment!

    I did two boats today!

I feel that I stuck to the challenge today as best as possible. I had a boat with cotton, roasted tomatoes and cherry juice, all very easy because of the limited ingredients. Did that one easily. Then I had one with eggs, bacon and something else easy and I bought the bacon and the eggs, but I sold the leftovers. I just had enough to fill the boat... It didn't affect the things I had done for the challenge at all.

Also we have had plenty of boats asking for honey popcorn, honey apple cake and lobster skewers, along with other things, so I gave to the cause and already have them back in my cue. Felt really good to help again.

I have been wheating all day with a cold and getting very few axes and mining tools (A wee bit discouraging! Lol!). Yesterday I had all of the smelters going at one point and by tomorrow morning the silver smelter, which is all that is going, will be through. It is a bit of a bummer to work so hard today with very little progress, but yay, I helped my neighbors!

My axes are coming too slowly, so my farm is starting to look frightening! A mess!

Thank you, Perky for the encouragement! I figure it will be quite awhile on those platinum and silver bars so why not help with all I have and then replace it.

I not only bought the candy machine this level, but I also upgraded the duck salon and already, I have more money than I've ever had! Made it all back in one level. A record for me!! I am going to stop harvesting goat milk soon maybe as feed space is getting tight. I just need to replace 3 goat cheese I gave someone for their boat first. Then I will stop collecting from sheep, next...

This is still fun as I love the challenge to see what I can accomplish while sticking as close to the challenge parameters as possible. Just need to keep wheating!!! And wheating!!! And wheating!!!

I love to hear and see everyone's' progress!! Mitzimitz, did I really see no bushes or trees on your property? So awesome! Don't feel bad, they will be back so soon. I found it a good time to rearrange everything with my orchards all gone. They took up a lot of space! Keep up the great work and keep posting your progress, even setbacks so we can lift you up and cheer you on... There are many, many emotions you will go through, especially at the starting point. Don't be afraid to share them. It may really help someone else!!

Please post how much money you make selling your barn stock off! I made about 200,000 coins which I used most of to redecorate and upgrade the old paths on my farm to wonderful new ones!

    Love,

    Sammy

Today I made apple jam! I wanted to shout it out to the world l
My whole approach to farming has changed!
I miss doing the town but I just collect townies who only need to visit one shop I put them in that shop and think that one day I may be able to feed them! 3 days ago I was trying to feed them all! Now things are so much calmer.

I really miss helping in my nh everyone understands but it kinda makes me feel a little isolated that I can no longer respond to their requests

    Kate

BTW my farm name is scorchy formerly journey and my nh is the lost dog

Well today is the day I clear out my barn.

My fishing area has one duck in the salon to finish then that area is will be finished. I am just waiting on one town visitor now and he is the last one so the town is done. Lots of visitors hanging around there... Maybe I better put a toilet over there cause it's going to be a long wait for them. Al my smelters have finished. And yes Sammy all my bushes and trees are now gone. Just an empty space where the once stood. Not too many dead trees to cut down. Will hire Tom to run for axes when I have the time. My machines are being wound down. Being very careful with what I make this morning. Things like bread, corn bread etc. anything that doesn't take long to make.

My barn already has some room in it but my poor silo has never been so full for so long. I managed to get some town upgrades done last night. One of my GC friends was selling the expansion item I needed and before I knew it I had bought them. (Mental Note - Do Not Touch The Paper)

Well in about 12 hrs my sell off will begin. The the butterflies are already in the stomach and beginning to fly around. I guess the finger will start shaking just to make it hard to clear my barn. Then I guess the tears will start followed by the thoughts of "what am I doing you dummy." BUT it is a new refreshing feeling that is setting in. Almost like I have made a huge accomplishment and now must undertake a new project to occupy the brain. Any one who is totally hooked on Hay Day and/or is a hoarder this is a therapy I recommend.

Sammy I will try to remember to make note and see how much money I make in my sell off. I will sell at mixed prices. One item maybe at full price in one stall then for default in another or maybe even at $1 in another. I am just going to mix it up. As most people know when you get to this level money is not an issue!

Well RL is going to interfere a little, with my plans today and this week. I will be getting off to a slow start trying to rebuild my farm. Maybe that is a good thing though. It might teach me a thing or two. So until later I bid you farewell. I hope everyone has a great day and I will update with my progress.

Good Luck to us all today. I have been following Grfields progress and am so happy they are off to a flying start!!

    Until later.....bye

    Dear Kate,

I agree on the feeling of isolation in the beginning, but my neighbors seemed to understand more and more and some are really cheering me on from time to time and are very encouraging and asking how it is going which really helps, and I could help pretty soon after starting in the scheme of things...

It seems like you are feeling pretty good about the challenge so far. That is wonderful! I really miss doing the boats which is why I keep trying to stretch the boundaries of my challenge in that direction to make it so I can have more fun especially now when I am wheating and just getting loads of duct tapes! (but hardly any mining tools yesterday). I don't want to spend money on boats though, but I can't keep that many eggs etc around even usually. Any thoughts anyone?

    Love,

    Sammy

    Rebuilding

Sorry to be so long, I got myself locked out somehow.
Anyway, I have sold everything off apart from one blackberry bush that got hidden behind a tree, and have started up the feed mills. I did a big reorganisation while I was at it, so the farm is looking tidy.
I didn't have any problems selling stuff off, but what was hard was not feeding the animals. The pigs are still hungry.....
I'm doing candy crush. I will be going on a hay day diet for a few days, just reloading fields until I have plenty of crops. The farm name is Earth rebuilding for now.
    See you around!

As with other non-participants, I say massive kudos to all of you taking up this challenge. I salute you!

I'm intrigued, but I'm just not sure I could ever do it ..
