Well done, you guys are really trudging along. I wanted to know whether U had to sit down and do a lot of calculations/math before actually doing the challenge. Cos I am having nightmares of spreadsheets and hours spent calculating how many hours so and so product will take and then figuring out what products to start 1st etc...... Or do u just start producing the basics and then go along from there and keep double checking your inventory? I really really hate math

I've done this twice now and both times I did not do a lot of logistical prep in advance. I just started making things and did my best from one moment to the next to keep as many machines going as possible. Planning ahead will keep the time it takes down, but it isn't strictly necessary. I did do some calculations with the crops, to see how many I'd need in total and make sure I wasn't tying up fields needlessly.

Not really, I just made sure the first thing I planted were 5 apple trees - harvest the fastest for the jam, then the soya beans, for the feed, and then put the rest in. Once I had 5 of each bush/ tree in I neatened them up and planted some more.

Planting 8 of a crop in the land was my magic number. After harvesting 16 I was willing to use a few soya for feed but still having enough to build up the numbers, same with sugar., especially as I wanted to get something going on the candy machine as fast as possible (toffee was what I made quickly). You need soya quickly for the cow feed to get some milk to start the dairy.

After that it' doesn't really matter I don't think.

Oh, and plan it for when you can sit there for the first few hours, then check frequently for the first few days as you are focussing on getting the fast products through earlier on.

My only recommendation is to make sure you have mastery of the smelters, jam, candy and sauce machines. I don't have mastery if the sauce machine and it's annoying me, although I will still probably finish that a smidgen before the items needing the cheeses.

    Well done Cheddar!

I've now been going for 10.5 days, and I've pretty much had enough!

I need 10 more bolts to expand my barn, it is bursting at the seams. I have left to go:
    - 3 lollipops
    - 6 jelly beans
    - 7 apple jams
    - 7 cherry jams
    - 9 strawberry jams
    - 9 chocolate

I have the 10 raspberry & 10 blackberry jams plus the extra 6 of each to make the jelly beans, and have all the other basic ingredients to make the lollipops and chocolate and still be left with 10 sugars, 10 syrups, 10 cream.

But I can't sit here any longer waiting for the rest! I want to help my friends boats with jam! I want to sell things! I want to buy things even more!!

Sorry guys, good luck to everyone else still going, but I'm done. I think the hard part was actually starting, and I really enjoyed selling off everything and then having to think about what order to make things in, what to prioritise, etc, and even restraining myself from not buying anything except BEMs. But enough is enough!!
