I effectively endured a mini, unintended scorch last night.

Discovered my daughter knows my iPad passcode and was selling a heap of my stock to the truck and visitors.

So much quality stock and Saws/Axes gone! :eek:

Damn school holidays!!!

LOL! Is your daughter old enough to learn the repercussions of her actions? If so, I suggest you correct her behavior by telling her to play without using diamonds until she gets back your saws and axes. Good luck. Parenting is a tough but rewarding job.

OUCH!!!! Time to change the passcode and hope for mining and help tasks for this derby. Hopefully, you will recover with little pain, as we hope your daughter does too. (Just kidding)

I had a talk to her, this is Daddy's game. You can play any others but not this one!!! Hopefully won't happen again...she is getting her own iPad for Christmas it cannot come quickly enough! LOL

Thankfully she didn't invade my town which was stacked, so done a town & help task so far while my machines are working hard to recover lost stocks.

Will be 6 in a month. Just finished prep so on holidays with the grandparents...on my iPad! lol

ShepherdGirl, and others that have started with 0 coins!!!!!, how do you do that? Really, other than buy lots of the gold statues or Big Red Trucks. Not sure if I'm brave enough to ACTUALLY bring coins to 0. And especially not diamonds. Last SEC I did, I just kept a tablet that showed what I had, and didn't spend before I had actually earned it.

It's almost as exciting to think of the preparations as it is to do the challenge.

Momscar, I did like you did the first time but for subsequent scorches it was super fun to start from 0 each time.

Getting rid of coins is pretty easy. If you look closely at my farm you'll see a gold statue hidden behind the pets and olive trees, the big red tractors that I finally gave in a bought after trying a bazillion time to win them unsuccessfully , all the presents and candy poles that were recent acquisitions, and I have hundreds of gold walls and lots of of other stuff like that in storage.

Daz, drag about the saws and axes, but good on you for keeping the positive attitude. Had a similar experience with my niece once, not with axes but it took a lot of wheating before I could take a mining task again.

Haha, thankfully no Diamonds spent. So yes, Tom will be on the job over the weekend [when I can access farm more regularly] to get my Saws & Axes back up, as well as some Diamond Rings...getting low on those again.

It's cute, she thinks she is helping by making me some coins and XP, which is true. But we all know you can't run a successful farm without been selective with sales!

I don't know how you guys can do a scorch, this experience alone is stressful; so much restocking & Tom required LOL.

Well, she's probably old enough for a 'selective sales' lesson. My goddaughter was a year older (well, almost 2 I guess, but she'd have understood a year earlier) when I started playing and she got that pretty quickly (she did ask for ages what she could sell to Townies, put in boats etc, but at least she asked). For the 'walk ups' she learnt the 'no sharps - in fact nothing but WHEAT'

But yes, it might be safer sticking to 'This is Daddy's game' (in fact iPad, after Christmas )

I'm looking forward to doing SE, but I'll do the 'wimps' version & just keep a note of my coins, vouchers & diamonds and not use any I haven't earnt while scorching. I'm not ready to actually get rid of all of those - it'll be A Big Fat Deal enough selling off all my stock!

However, I do enjoy a big clear out.
