The Hay Day Scorched Earth Challenge (ver 2.0)

When I did my "starting over"challenge thingy. I started a new thread. Just call yours something to indicate it is a race or competition between the two of you. I'd also make your first post with the "rules" the two of you plan to follow so we can just check your progress without having to fish up this thread for the rules. I'd love to cheer you on!

I'm glad to see some more interest in this Challenge, and I appreciate the feedback!

It's always been my intent (implied if not directly stated) that the rules set out in this challenge were not set in stone, but rather my own take on what I thought would be interesting and fun to try. I'm certainly not some sort of "purist" who only wants people to do it my way.

I fully support anyone who wants to tweak this formula to create the kind of experience they are looking for. My original intention was to create a "game within the game" to spice things up for those players that got bored with the same ol' thing.

The issue of the Jam and Candy taking so long was addressed in the thread for version 1.0, but I don't think the conversation was duplicated here before so I'm glad it was brought up. Because 10x of each Jam takes so incredibly long, it does tend to undermine the "time-keeping" aspect of the challenge by essentially setting up a minimum possible time to complete the objective. It is not so hard to make 10x of everything else before the Jams are done, so it kinda feels like you rushed around for nothing.

My suggestion to anyone who doesn't like that would be to simply remove the Jams and Candy from the objectives, and then try again to see how long it takes to do everything else. Or to tweak and change any of the other limitations to your own comfort level like Tigger did.

Sometime in the night my final chocolate popped out the machine so I claim CC Mode of the SE. No idea when exactly which is slightly annoying. My barn is fit to burst again, this is the hardest part of the challenge, juggling barn space!

It will be a while until I post again for URM, it's all about getting the uber rare platinum now..

So, did Zara finish her challenge? She hasn't posted in a while.

I am still interested in participating in the challenge myself.

Originally I said I would do it when I got back up to 1,000,000 coins again, which I just did today (thank you Little People event!).

But then I heard we were getting another update so I thought I would wait until after the update. I honestly thought the update would come BEFORE I got up to 1 million coins again but it did not happen.

So, here I am with 1,000,000 coins and I really really really want to do this.

But I think I will try and be patient and wait until the update.

Keep us posted and let me know when you have your fire sale. Guess I'd better clear my barn soon. I sure do love a sale, even when they prices are at max. There's just something about buying lots of virtual bits when you can't go buy real ones I guess.
