1 Gem Barrack Boost is amazing!

Not bad at all especially with high tier troops, especially when you are doing some solid raids. What I would do if I were you:

Boost right when you go to battle, make them train the longest training time like drag for example, and you won't regret it. Who else likes it?

I hate it as too many raiders = fewer good bases for me to raid.

There are no positives... Loot was borderline before the boosting event, now it's a catastrophe. Besides, think of how many gems you would be wasting by boosting barracks...
Say you play 16 hours a day: That's 21 gems you would be going through per barrack, which means each day you would be using 84 - 126 gems :eek:.

there are some positives! it is very helpful to trophy hunters! it does have a negative effect on farming but it helps in some areas- ie big armies to push with
