So if a leader goes inactive and there are no cos then it goes to the most senior elder.
If there are no elders then it doesn’t transfer so no hopping into inactive clans to try and take over a free clan.
    Thanks for the confirmation.

Also, Supercells terms of service state: SUPERCELL RESERVES THE RIGHT TO TERMINATE ANY ACCOUNT THAT HAS BEEN INACTIVE FOR 180 DAYS. To me, this reads like I must log into my account at least every 180 days to keep the accout active and operate within TOS. So, if we can be inactive for up to 180 days before the account may be terminated, then the clan leadership shouldn’t be effected until then also, as I am operating within the terms of service.
    No,
it reads that SC “reserves the right to” doesn’t mean they actively use that right.
so far I know of no cases where they actually did terminate accounts that have been inactive for such an amount of time or longer.

Why is it made based on who has been the co the longest? Why not make a new role. Why not give leader on option to choose who he wants the leader to be passed on incase that is ever needed?

Active co leader might move from clan to clan for cwl for example and therefore not be the longest standing co even he might be the one who deserves the position most.

To explicitly control the order of coleaders getting control, you could temporarily demote all co except for your first choice, then promote them back to co in the order that you want them to become leader should there be a nuclear war or something and half the coleaders are too busy fighting mutant cannibals to log in.
"Seniority is determined by how long a player has been in the Clan."

I guess just demotion and promotion doesn't change the order, you would need to kick them all out and invite them again.

Active co leader returns as a new member after visiting another clan, as such he is not qualified for taking over the clan and he is not qualified to have this role either. The clan leader would need to assign this role every time the co returns. This wouldn't be exactly an QoL improvement for the clan leader anymore.

been thinking again.... yep i know.. its bad for me!

    1. keep the QoL but make it a function that the clan can activate if this situation occurs.. the system will then work within the rules that has been stated. it can be activated by a Co on the edit clan page and then if the leader is inactive the system does the transfer of leader.. That would make sense....

    2. in addition to 1.. Create a position that sits between Leader and Co-Leader called "Senior Co-Leader" that is selected by the Leader.. Has no more power than a normal Co but is seen as the successor / 2nd in command. If the Leader goes inactive, 90 days later ..button pressed.. Senior Co-Leader gets Leader.. this will future proof clans. a Co can even press the button if leader and senior are inactive..

Darian... the above is the answer to this issue

    More answers to questions...

Seniority is determined by uninterrupted time spent in the clan. <period>
With that I mean it doesn’t mean how much time they’ve been a co but it matters how long they’ve been in the clan.
Uninterrupted means exactly that, if you temporarily jump out of the clan for whatever reason and join back the counter starts you back as being new.

well that is not a good situation or position for clans imo.. but thanks for finding out

They really need to re-think this QoL
