    Couldn't have said it better....

What Darian has stated in the AMA is clear and we all will have to wait for further explanation. What was talked about was co-leaders though....

Let's look at a few cases of how leadership will be passed.

Case 1 - Leader has been inactive for 90 days. The system checks to see how long the Leader has been inactive. If they've been inactive for 90 days, it will give the Leadership to the next most senior Co-Leader. Seniority is determined by how long they've been in the Clan.

Case 2 - Leader has been inactive for 90 days, senior Co-Leader has been inactive for less than 90 days. Let's say the most senior Co has been inactive for 80 days. Like the above scenario, Leader will be passed to the most senior Co. But since the senior Co has been inactive for 80 days, since they are the new Leader, if they don't log on by the 90-day mark then Leadership will be passed again to the next senior Co.

Case 3 - Leader has been inactive for 90 days, senior Co-Leader has been inactive for more than 90 days. If the Leader is passed to a senior Co who has been inactive for more than 90 days, then the system will start counting 90 more days from when that Co became the new Leader. If the new Leader does not log on for 90 more days then Leader will pass to the next senior Co.

Regarding the 90-day inactivity. If you are a Clan Leader and do not want to lose your Leadership role, then all that's required to reset the timer is to log back into the game. Logging back in will reset the counter to zero and you'll have another 90 days before you have to log back in.

I don't see any explanation about 'elders and members' taking over clans ... might be me though. I would say that's a bad idea, since it will lead to more 'hijacking' kinds of threads...

As stated in the post I linked: more information might be coming in that video thing...

Here’s a slightly more elaborate post. There’s a few answers to several questions scattered throughout this thread.

Anyways, I’ll try and explain a bit more and hope this clarifies more things.
When the system decides a clan’s leader has bee not inactive too long (90 days) then it “determines” who should be the successor. The rules for passing on leader ship will be
It will go to the most senior CO leader but they must’ve been had activity within those last 90 days (if they’re equally inactive they don’t get it)
When a clan has no active cos it can go to an elder but it will always look for a co first. Even if a co has been a co only for a day and someone has been an elder for 5 year the higher rank always trumps the lower rank initially.

As long has the clan has active cos then it will not be passed on to elders. So the clan has to make sure it has active cos which isn’t all that unreasonable.

Unreasonable or not leadership should never be handed to anyone below the rank of Co-Leader. Their the only ones deemed suitable by the original leadership to run the clan and as such their wishes should be honored.

I'd say if the coleader is not active or there is no co in the clan, the clan should be dismissed and rest player would find themselves clanless.
