When we have been in a similar situation, we have greatly enjoyed watching them take apart our bases, and then adjusted traps and stuff to make those same attacks less successful in the future.

We thought we were in this situation once (it was a feeder clan to a well-known competitive clan) and we ended up winning. I'm not sure if the clan we faced is where they put all their really bad attackers, or if it wasn't actually affiliated and was just pretending.

In your war it is possible that your opponent is like us: totally burned out on war after CWL week, so the people who are actually warring are the little bases who weren't let into the CWL map.

Well OP. Unless you are protecting a decent streak, then you just struck gold.
A top notch clan as opponents is a dream mate.
It is unlikely you can win without extreme skills, but you need to be glued to your device all day to get the most benefit of such a match.
Match ups like this prob dont come along too often, so analyse anything and everything they do.
Learn how they attack and why they are doing what they do. Look at your bases, watch how they perform. So much education on offer over a 24 hour period.
Dont complain, savour it. Cook your go to troops and let them loose. But most of all, make sure you end the day having learned something. Amazing match for you.

For those that suggest trying out new strats.. On war day?. A new strat?.. Dont think so.
You learn and practice before playing for real. i would be livid if people were wasting war attacks by trying untested and unlearned combo's in war. That is the best way to lose there is.

    1) Fight back with moderate effort knowing that there's no chance to win.
    2) Perform multiple scouting attacks on their best bases in an effort to reveal their traps and copy their bases. Winning is not important.
    3) Attack thinking that you could win and then have all your hopes and dreams squashed when they 3 star all your bases.
    4) Don't attack at all in some sort of effort to deliver a message that the matchmaking system isn't giving you the match-up that you deserve.
    5) Report all the names of their team as offensive in an attempt to get them all disqualified for the war. (THIS IS A JOKE).

    Any other options?

    Thanks.
This post in general doesn't make alot of sense because it seems to mix CWL and regular war concepts but you would fight and learn how they were able to amass such a streak.

The game also mixes CWL and regular war concepts.

OP is saying that in a random spin war, they matched a clan that is in a high league in CWL.

We did that in one war last CWL, won 6 wars but the 7th they were going to win being much heavier in all ways and all would attack. We had a heads up early cause we check out whole clan rosters to get a good approximation, so we just said it was going to be first come, first serve on stars. In Masters each star is worth 10 medals each? that's atleast a mil or two in loot.
