Do you mean right hand side if it is the friends section? The left is for the shop, if it is the shop I would suggest clicking the items it is notifying you about (probs decorations) and then cancel.
sorry my bad. is on the bottom right. any idea why still shown number 2? no more pending friends request. the 2 has been stuck for a year now. thanks in advance for your reply
If it has been appearing there for over a year I would suggest contacting help and support. My guess would be someone in the past sent you a friend request and they have been removed from the game or some form of circumstances like that where the only way to fix is to get support to resolve.
