    Don’t do it

This month marks the 5th year of me playing CoC. I have several accounts.

Yesterday my TH12 had an offer for Book of Heroes. With nearly 200000 DE in storages and my heroes over lvl50 I decided to purchase 500 gems.

The transaction was eventually successful but no credit made by Supercell for the gems.

For nearly 2 hours I liaised with SC and Apple with the two blaming each other.

At the moment I have been charged with Apple indicating they will refund.

Sometime later in the day SC said they had now credited the gems and I duly purchased the Book of Heroes.

This morning I have woken and SC have debited -500 gems from my account.

I am currently now not only out of pocket (potential refund from Apple next 30 days) but realising how appalling SC treat long-term players who faithfully invest in the game over several years and several accounts.

    Don’t buy gems.

you requested a refund on both side so it is your problem.
contact the ingame support and describe them the issue.

You don't buy gems from Supercell. In your case you get them from the Apple, others get them from Google play.

If SC haven't received payment from Apple then they are quite right to debit your gems.

There's plenty to have a pop at SC about, but this ain't one of them.

Not so and I have screenshots from both parties blaming each other and leaving me (the 5 year faithful customer),wasting nearly 2 hours of my Sunday sorting it out and a -500 gem reminder in my TH12.

Great customer service right there. As I said, don’t purchase gems.

So you got the gems, got a refund and now you are surprised that SC took the gems back. Of course they took the gems back.

I don't know what you are complaining about.

My post is opinion unless I specifically state it's a fact.

    I have no refund yet.

I am complaining that it took 2 hours to sort and that after 5 years of playing the game it might have been seen good customer service to not leave my TH12 minus 498 gems.

If I went to a restaurant and two waiters started arguing over the poor food and I sat there hungry for two hours then that would be a good analogy.

You buy the gems through a third party: Either Google or Apple (the latter in your case). Millions of those transactions go perfect, you were unlucky and there was a hick-up in the process. That happens, and it is pretty stupid to blame a company you have been 'faithful customer' of for that.

They gave you the 500 gems, you purchased the book, you git promised a refund from Apple, they then took the gems away again. That is not so strange is it? Did you want to have the book AND the refund? That is not how it works.

Agreed. Not sure what outcome you were expecting OP. You can’t get the refund and gems. On the flip side, Apple does not take 30 days to refund you in my experience. Week tops.

It won’t be a problem again as iPads and iPhone set to not allow in-app purchases.
