I really am it trying not to join the loot is bad thing here (I'm not seeing good loot but they've still got a week until I finally say ♥♥♥♥ it) but we all need to take a step back here for a second and ask ourselves a few questions.

    Those questions go like so.

    1. Is loot good for me?

If you said yes, congratulations! I'm very happy to hear the changes have helped you. Here's some virtual confetti and some cake. (If this sounds sarcastic my apologies I just like giving out virtual stuff because it's free).

Now that we've got you your cake lets go onto the next question.

    2. Does that mean loot is great for everyone?

The correct answer to this is either no or maybe. If you said yes I'm afraid I'm going to have to keep my virtual fireworks to myself.

Can we all take a step back for a second and maybe think that the loot system is working for some and not others?

Why is the response to these complaints always "loots great maybe you should learn to play" or "great collectors outside. K thnx."?

Can't we just take a step back and instead say "oh you're having a hard time? What th are you? You should try these ranges." Isn't that the community we want to be? One that helps people who are having trouble instead of simply pushing them away?

And to the people complaining, yes I will say that loot has some problems (as I said earlier I'm seeing bad loot myself) but can we maybe try to tone the complaints down a bit and give it until Monday?

It's great to see this poll shows that the game isn't losing loads of players and there are more lovers than haters.

    Maxwell,

So I'm thinking this must be the best loot you have got, post loot patch, or you wouldn't have ♥♥ it and proudly posted it here. If indeed it is the best then your making about 300k of gold per hour. Your saying you got both Xbows started to level 2 in a day thats 10M gold. Do you see where I'm going with this.

10M divided by 300k = a lot more hours than are in 1 day

Also I would be interesting to see your defence log cause if your going offline between battles and have over a couple of mil of gold your going to be getting 3* losses and loosing 320k of gold on a lot of occasions. Or maybe your just sitting in front of the screen for an hour between attacks to make sure nobody can attack you, also how long did you search to find those attacks, I bet it was more than just a couple of nexts. When players post on here that they are spending 100k to find a target its no lie.

If playing for over 33 hours straight is what it takes to progress at a healthy rate in this game then I'm sure that most people are going to be quitting in the not to distant future. This is meant to be light entertainment, a bit of fun, not a nightmare job. The vast majority of players want to play for a couple of hours a day, log in find a town to smash up have a quick chat and go and do some RLS, force them to do more than this and they are evidently not happy bunnies. Once you loose the casual players your only be left with players that are so active that you can never find any good loot in the game.

The new loot system has made this game into a real grind and many many players are, just like the OP, quitting. If SC wants to keep people playing they must bring back the fun.

No but it is supposed to be a challenge! If they catered to all the people complaining they can't get loot then this game would be waaaay to easy. The problem is people instead of trying to improve their strategy they just up and quit or come on here to whine and groan. I have had zero issues with the new update and I'm a th 9. I've probably stacked 30mill or more gold since the update. Collector raids are still out there and still awesome. People are just complaining now because on the raids where they do see the 400k each, the bases have it well protected. Well I say to that, learn how to attack those bases!

For plenty of us the game is just not fun any more. There is no variety, its penalty for progression penalises you to the point where it just becomes a chore with so long between raids and so long looking for loot to justify the ever increasing build times. CoC has a shelf life and for many it has expired - the "challenge" of raiding someone else's base is negated by the long delays between raids of cook times as we are forced to use slower to build armies to crack maxed out defences due to the lack of collector bases.

Frankly I think the SC developers have been kicking back counting their money and dropped the ball this year - good on them for creating a formula that worked, I am jealous as heck for that. However the reality is there have been *no* significant gameplay additions for a very, very long time. The loot formula experiment has been a disaster, and other than tweaking their UI (which while all nice additions does not affect *gameplay*) they have added absolutely nothing at all of interest to motivate people to come online to play.

When "adjusting" gameplay means ever increasing amounts of continuous online time, then it really is time to stop. It is a shame because from the early stages CoC has been so awesome that it offers a serious form of addiction, as easily shown in these forums. Sadly the creativity in the intial implementation has not been extended.

Its no great drama, all good things come to an end, and those here who continue to farm x million per 12 hour day online playing are welcome to their opinions, as are the rest of us who prefer a game they can pick up an play for a few hours to get some fun from.
I'm a little late but this deserves more attention.

A lot of people think the fun is in the challenge! Take away the challenge to the game and how fun would it be then?
