Welcome to the forums!! I'm glad that you decided to start posting The loot that you use when you're tapping Next disappears from the game. Actually it's the same with everything else too, only exception being resources you lose to another player, they stay in the game. If you re-arm your traps, fill an X-Bow, upgrade a troop, buy a building, make troops, cook a spell or use resources in any other way, they disappear from the game. There isn't a behind the scenes bank in Clash, although the idea is pretty fascinating

    And thanks! Very custom
That would be because a lot more people have dropped playing the game after the update and you are beginning to see the benefits of this. Give it another 25 days and these players will be out of the rotation.

    Lightbulb Great Idea

    Hello Super Steve and Staff

I really enjoy playing your game. At times the game is frustrating, which also makes it very rewarding. With out a doubt the continued success of Clash of Clans is due to Super Cell's willingness to listen to their patrons. In addition Super Cell frequently updates the game with improvements that enhance the gaming experience. These improvements keep Clash of Clans fun and secures it's future. For example the renovation of the loot system was an obvious issue that required immediate attention. More over the loot system is the leading concern for many. Essentially if the cost to upgrade is more than what is accumulated by looting the game hits it's limit. Once this criteria is meet there is no longer a desire to continue playing Clash of Clans. I personally have stopped playing this game twice because of this issue. Many people in my clan mentioned abandoning Clash of Clans because of their frustration. Nevertheless thank you for the loot system update it is a step in the right direction. Although this update is a step in the right direction it seems to only shift the bottle neck point. As the cost to upgrade a village tremendously increases through game progression, the amount of loot generated halts. If the goal is to keep the game from bottle necking by making loot more available, please consider also increasing mine and pump production to make loot more available. When the higher Town Halls were introduced mine and pump production was neglected for several levels. Essentially we would still have to work hard to upgrade the mines and pumps but as a result loot would be more available. If the goal of the loot system update is to stimulate the flow of loot then we have to be able to produce more loot to spread around. The best incentive Super Cell implemented to kept me playing was the one gem boost for mines and pumps. At the time the game was bottled necked. It cost more to raid than the loot I could secure from a raid. The one year anniversary celebration seem to revive my interests and allowed me to continue to play and enjoy Clash of Clans.

Sincerely Clash of Clans Fan Isaac

Loots have been lower since this update!

As we expected, average loots went down briefly after the update. When I say we expected this, we did so with the fact that, as we stated, things would get worse before they got better. And, as we expected, the average loot available has now started to rise and we fully expect the average loot per raid to end up being higher overall than it was with the old loot system!

Can't find those good raids anymore!!!

In addition, another goal of this loot system is that there should be much more variety in the amount of loots you should see when matchmaking. For example, in the old loot system, I could search for five matches all with 200k in resources. In the new loot system, I might see 4 matches with 25k loot, and then another one with 1 million, and another with 50k, another with 500k, another with 100k, and so on.. So, again, in short, we expect this new system will mean some BIGGER raids, and also more of a variety of loot targets. You may need to spend a bit more time hitting next FOR NOW, but when you find the right base, the pay-off could be much, much bigger. We expect this to improve along with better loots. This is a black and white explanation of a very complex system, but it's meant to try and shed some light on the goals of the new system. We are already seeing positive results on this front.

This new system should mean that when you you need to progress in the game, you can more consistently and reliably find those major loot scores that you need. In the old loot system, it would take longer to accumulate the resources you needed via raiding, and you could end up getting stuck!

Anyways, this post is to confirm that we are indeed seeing a rise in loots. Post-update and post-maintenance loots are always generally lower. We are exploring potential options to make this situation a bit better, but cannot promise we'll be able to address these dips at this point.

Higher TH levels are crushing lower TH
So far there is no data to support this. The amount of attacks on lower TH and the amount of average loot stolen from lower TH by higher THs has not changed since the update. Attacks tend to peak on the weekends and we believe this perception comes from an overall increase in activity and not a new or different pattern than we are used to.

We will continue to monitor this situation!

Thank you for reading. Any additional questions can go below here \/

It dipped (as expected) after the update and it's been rising steadily all the time after that. Monitoring average loot is sufficient for this purpose, checking where we are and how long we have left….. Yesterday the average loot was half way back to what it was before the change. This means that the loot is still not good. This means more searching than before the update. It also means that we've passed the half way milestone
Marika, I really appreciate your continuous attention to the community and the dialogue you have with us (as an old adult gamer I played i my life a lot of games and this is uncommon) but the point is another one.
You wrote in the first post "Face it, Chief, Level 6 troops, X-Bows, Inferno Towers and Level 11 defensive upgrades do not come cheap. Of course, it is natural that better and better items come with higher price tags, but with a loot system tuned only up to Town Hall level 8, how will you meet these rising costs?" so it is clear that the goal was to increase the loot available for higher players.
You got that, 100% sure. A Th10 now provide less loot for sure and they can get more loot as well from lower TH

The problem is that you destroyed the game play for lower TH (especially TH8-) and I really do not understand what we have to wait for.
It is a simple math: a TH7/8 now gets less loot and provide more loot. This will never change with the current loot system. As TH8 I definitely prefer to attach a TH7 or even 6 instead of a TH8/9/10 if they can provide me enough loot (it is easier, less risky and less cost).

So the real question is: is this what you intended? If yes, the community will accept that and who wants to continue to play will do.
If this is not what you intended, why waiting to change?

Personally I have been playing 9 months now, CoC has been my companion for a long time. Now it is not and I am thinking to quit not because I do not like it anymore but because I do not want to change my game experience after 9 month, I cannot play more, I cannot spend more (I spent a lot so far...)

May you kindly please which was the goal of this update for lower TH?

The new system has potential, but there are some core problems still.

    1. The whole loot system is still heavily dependent on INACTIVE players. We need 4-5 inactives for every active player. Otherwise there just not enough to go around.

    2. With the burst of activity around update time the loot just dries up. Tied to number 1 above. Now all the th9 and th10 are hitting stores of lower levels. So the the overall percents of attacks may be the same. But the targets are different. Hitting active players vs inactive.

    3. The higher th WILL go back to collector raiding once more inactives are back in the system. So should get easier for th8/7 in a bit.

I like the idea of the update. But there needs to be a better system of resource gathering for ACTIVE players. The game would work much better if inactives were taken out earlier and league bonsus were increased to reward active players.

Lastly, please consider lowering the search costs. It is SOO frustrating to spend thousands of gold just hitting next. Hitting next over and over is bad enough, blowing 30k to find 100k. Just is horrible. One of the least appealing features of the game.

Thanks so much for your reply i appreciate it, although that does confirm that because we are all having to click next so many more times now, that more gold is being taken out of the game :/ this worries me

On a lighter note after u said that about the bank, i just imagined one of u guys having a custom clash account with loads of storages all full and nothing else haha id wana raid that lol

I was a fan of this update when I first read about it, but after losing 600k Gold/Elixor in 5 attacks (4 being failed attacks, with the last one taking out 40% of my base because all my traps are wiped out) and it costs 140k to rearm ALL my traps........ over night, I am not a fan.

Im a TH lvl 10 and people can take out 1 storage for 100k. Not to mention that its tough finding bases to attack at 1000 per search. Im in Crystal 3 and i'm thinking of dropping my trophies to pick on TH lvl 8s and 9s that are almost maxed. So far I have resorted to just keeping my shield as long as possible. I'm in it for the long run, I just hope the long run doesn't last 3-4 weeks...upgrades already take 10-14 days for me...

So where does the other half of the loot then go at the moment? My guess: nexting and bigger armies. Do you monitor those as well?

Every post since the update has confirmed more and more, that all the effects were indeed expected. I am assuming, that the feedback to the changes was also to some extent expected (why else recruit more volunteers to keep the forum clean).

But what I really struggle to understand, is the obvious need to look good but do things, that make you look bad one after another update. Sure, masses don't understand what you are doing as they read just the official word and then blame themselves if the gaming experience did change. Yet I am not the only one here, who have pointed out to a point of boredom, that what you say and do are far from eachother. The feedback like that gets ignored over and over again (obviously it wouldn't look too good to admit the constant PR stunt after another). For once, you could try and do what you say and make the game actually FUN to play again, and not just to those, willing to pay more on regular basis.

Obviously, these words would hit with far greater weight, if I was using FB and people would spread the word, unlike here where the few active members read and post. I guess it was another empty promise, that the forum would be something more than information gathering platform. Now it's just means to suppress the unhappiness...

    Reilu meininki forgotten, eh, Marika?
