When Steve mentioned average loot increase, I think he meant average per raid, not gold per hour. Steve, you want to clarify?
Of course the average loot per raid increases because of the cap increased(200k -> 400k for TH10). This is a no brainer. But because raiding such bases require a much stronger army, the cook time for stronger troops is also much longer. As such, this actually translate into lower gold per hour.
For example:
In the past, you raid
4 times per hour(collector and storage bases using BAM) netting 200k gold per raid. This means
800k gold per hour (I know people are getting much more than this easily. Just stating on the conservative side.)
Now, you raid
1.5 times per hour (BM using 40 min build) netting 400k gold per raid. This translate into
600k gold per hour. (I know you can use 16 balloons with 32 min build but will you be able to get 400k gold against those TH10 with 16 balloons?)
So while the data does shows the average loot per raid increases, it will not be able to show the gold per hour. For active farmer, gold per hour is a much accurate figure and unfortunately, the gph really is much lower compared to before. At least for me.
P.S. Please do not use your highest gph. Sometimes, when I'm lucky, I can also hit 1.7mil per hour by farming inactive bases. What we care more are
averages figures over many hours and many days. Not the rare fortunate event of farming a string of high loot inactive bases in a row within a single hour.
P.S.S. These 2 days I noticed an increase of inactive bases. This update is about increasing the cap for storage so to discuss if the update helps in the gph, please use storage base raids. Getting high gph farming inactive collector bases got nothing to do with this particular update.
