(Remember, total amount of higher to lower TH attacks are is same, and I assume that all TH8s are saving resources just like you). If you see this, can you tell me are you an early, mid or late TH8? I'm trying to find a pattern here, if there's one to be found. If this would be a question of early TH8s, I think that'd be a matter of balancing for us.
To read those stats correctly.. Did you check if total number of attacks in his range are same as before ?

    - my guess is, there is a lot less total attacks/ active people now than before the update, so if attacks higher to lower th is the same, but total attacks are less.. Then actually more % of players are now attacking down hill (or less are attacking at same level or up hill, if you like).

Second.. It doesn't require rocket science to figure out why he gets attacked.. He has more lootable rss in his storages now, pretty plain and simple imo.. Who would skip him if he's an easy target with good loot ;-)

    Question

Hi there, ive been playing clash of clans for over a year now im a almost maxed th9 all i have left to upgrade is walls. This is my 1st post on here although i am a long time lurker of these forums.
I am writing this post as i am now having serious problems finding any decent raids, it used to take me 5 mins at most to find a good raid and now like many others its taking me 10-20 mins of searching!! This has reduced the amount of times i can raid per day and also has reduced the amount of gold i can gain due to me spending so much on searching.
What my question is, when i and all these other players are now spending so much gold on clicking next, where does this gold actually go?
Forgive me if im being stupid here but it now seems to me since the update that u are actually removing gold from the games economy?

All this searching along with the fact ppl are now dumping there gold into walls to avoid high raids they can suffer from defencively means i am
Seeing a lot less gold available, and from reading on here many others are having the same problem.

Analysing what ive said above, it seems to me supercells update is now actually removing gold from the game which i believe wasnt their intention, well i hoe it wasnt anyway

Where does all the gold from clicking next go?? Lol

On the night my TH upgraded I had FULL storages (2 mill in each) I lost 188k in a raid of each resource from a TH8 (pre game update).

Post game update, I spent some resources, and am trying to maintain 600k gold & 1mill eilxir in my storages for the ongoing upgrades to my base. I am regularly losing 224k elixir despite having less in my storage than 5 days earlier pre upgrade. My gold loss amounts to 111k from a store of @600k (that raid took place over night)

No matter what you say, I am holding less loot but losing more ?? I cannot recoup the loot i'm losing 1) it isn't there at the moment 2) last raid it took 31 presses of the next button to find a base with over 75K gold 3) I can't play for an extended period of time.

For me nothing has changed. I upgrade my town hall, I do a few raids a night 3 or 4 and others when I have a spare half hr. What has changed is the fact I am now struggling to maintain what I am holding for my base upgrades.

I am a little disappointed that the gameplay for my level at least has changed so much. I would call myself a casual adult player, I cannot sit for hrs on end on my tablet/phone remaining online. I appreciate that raiding/getting raided is a part of the game - but in my opinion these changes are for the worse not the better.
I totally agree with this opinion, i go out to battle, i am lucky to find more than 150k, then while my army rebuilds and am offline i then get attacked and get 350k took off me, so basacally i lose more in between fights which makes it harder to make money, looks like my goldmines will have to go on upgrade, something cheap as find it hard to do up the big defences like wizard tower(5.3mill) ot telsa(4.2mill) well done supecell, u made the best game on the ipad to become the worst

Nb. Could you please change the xmas bombs to give gold instead of elexir ?

Despite my loosing up to 1.2 million elexir now when i log off, i really still have no use for elexir, so gold in those pressents instead would be a nice change ;-)

Ok, so this doesn't explain it, but thank you

This makes sense. So as a TH10, I would look for a TH8 who's saving, then use a cheap army to get it. Even after the TH penalty I'd make decent loot, and it'd be easy. The problem for me in this would be that I lack patience, I'd rather stay among TH10s because that's where I see good loots without first searching through tens and tens (hundreds?) of "regular" villages. As said, that's just me, maybe that's the reason why my resources are so sucky….

If there is someone on TH8 who can save, I'd love to hear about that too!

I'm sure everyone has heard this multiple times, but just to be clear: No further changes / additional collector levels / League bonus increases / TH penalty tweaks or anything like that will be made before the change has settled in. Temporary resource injection like a boost fest is a totally different matter

Of course the average loot per raid increases because of the cap increased(200k -> 400k for TH10). This is a no brainer. But because raiding such bases require a much stronger army, the cook time for stronger troops is also much longer. As such, this actually translate into lower gold per hour.

    For example:

In the past, you raid 4 times per hour(collector and storage bases using BAM) netting 200k gold per raid. This means 800k gold per hour (I know people are getting much more than this easily. Just stating on the conservative side.)

Now, you raid 1.5 times per hour (BM using 40 min build) netting 400k gold per raid. This translate into 600k gold per hour. (I know you can use 16 balloons with 32 min build but will you be able to get 400k gold against those TH10 with 16 balloons?)

So while the data does shows the average loot per raid increases, it will not be able to show the gold per hour. For active farmer, gold per hour is a much accurate figure and unfortunately, the gph really is much lower compared to before. At least for me.

P.S. Please do not use your highest gph. Sometimes, when I'm lucky, I can also hit 1.7mil per hour by farming inactive bases. What we care more are averages figures over many hours and many days. Not the rare fortunate event of farming a string of high loot inactive bases in a row within a single hour.

P.S.S. These 2 days I noticed an increase of inactive bases. This update is about increasing the cap for storage so to discuss if the update helps in the gph, please use storage base raids. Getting high gph farming inactive collector bases got nothing to do with this particular update.

    Awesome point. Totally agree.

Funny question. Why me? I'm a bit disapointed, you really ask this. But i know what your suggestion is:
You don't want to allow farming anymore without being punished. Wich is understandable. Farmers normally don't need gems, cause they have enough time to invest in the game. Blocking this, will hopefuly make you sell more gems.

    So here is my question:
I'm TH8 and now on my way to be maxed out. All my last upgrades cost me at least 2m (archer towers, wizard towers, tesla). So to make those upgrades, i need to have up to 3m (last tesla update). So how to make those upgrade without being a extremly valuable target? How? Really, if i store more than 2m of any ressource, i'm valuable to every th-level up to th10. And they exactly waited for a base like me. Me, that has 250k+ gold for upgrades.

I come online again and restart attacking by myself. Regaining in a good case the same amount, but most likely not. Going offline to come back later. While i'm offline, i get attacked again and 250k+ gets stolen. Means if i play your game like a mobile-game, i will make no progress.

So i get raided and lose a big chunk of my gold again and again and again and again... not able to progress unless i stay online for at least 1 hour and making some successful attacks in a row (its a mobile-game...!). Before the update, i eventually lost 200k when i had bad luck and someone decided to try me. But since there is much more loot available, even th10 gets interested in farming me and everytime i log out, i get raided within the next 15 minutes.

I really feel bad about having spent real money into CoC, since you are now destroying my game experience. really.
And to say it clear: the public relation work of supercell is very bad in my opinion. It was nice from you, taking time to answer us. But this should happen all the time and a lot faster then you guys actually do.
And i'm pretty sure, there is no problem for supercell to hire a communitymanager that has to do nothing else then talk with the community.

I almost forgot to get back to you about this, sry! In this context, when we're talking about when the loot change will kick in, we referred to average loot on different TH to TH scenarios and how that has evolved before and after the change. It dipped (as expected) after the update and it's been rising steadily all the time after that. Monitoring average loot is sufficient for this purpose, checking where we are and how long we have left….. Yesterday the average loot was half way back to what it was before the change. This means that the loot is still not good. This means more searching than before the update. It also means that we've passed the half way milestone
