    It's the matter of taste. Killing the meat shield early is the best way to ruin the raid, that's why I prefer to kill all giants on the side which is getting attacked the most.
    Some people prefer to have guaranteed kill of 1/4 of the giants no matter which side was attacked, I'm OK with that.

    As I said before, we can control which side of 4-way symmetrical base will be attacked by pushing spawn point back a lot on all sides but one, and upgrading one or more defensive building there.

    The problem is having spawn point closer for the wall forces us to use shorter funnels

    I tried something like this and it really just depends on how stupid our attacker is. many times they know its a trap and they just want to challenge the trap anyways. what tends to happen is they realize that they cant walk out of the trap without losing more then they gain so they endup spreading their troops thin by attacking from the outside as well as the inside

    so from my experience when i create a base like this is your attacker

    1 thinks your an idiot that made a mistake in leaving a hole (fullout attack in your black hole)
    2 sees the trap for what it is and attacks from the outside (not necessarily a bad thing. Ive managed to come out victorious on many occasions even in these situations)
    3 sees the trap for what it is and decides to challenge it anyways
    4 uses all dragons from the center (they win)
    5 is the 2nd person to raid you of the night and is slightly more likely to come out on top

    these bases are alot of fun tho xD i like watching the replays of those players who tried sooooo hard but ultimately fail in the end. especially the noobs and those players who challenge the trap

    I think traps that needs rearming like giant bombs and spring traps should be used sparingly in the hole. a half decent player will drop a few barbs in there to activate the traps

    also cc troops does wonders here. the idea of these kinds of bases is that they stay in the killzone and never get out. where all your guns are focused in on the hole. cc troops helps to make sure they stay there and dont spread as much

    please excuse my grammar and punctuation im being lazy lol
