Easier to save up to upgrades?

Hey.
There's something I've been thinking about in terms of this new loot update.
It is with mixed feelings that I write this post - there has been an incredible number of negative and harsh post regarding this update. But after playing and try several different leagues without success with the loot, I have wondered about one thing. Supercell said that it will be easier to keep the loot and save up to large upgrades. But I have several times lost 400k/400k.
You can now lose up to twice as much as before - how can you find it easier to save up to upgrades? I can't quite see it. Someone who can give an explanation?
I just got to TH10, from having max Th9, played from 2000 - 2600 cups.

It's more like it's easier for premature THs to save for upgrades. Basically the cap is higher, but the amount of loot you have to actually have stored in order to reach the amount of the previous cap has increased as well.

If you're a TH10, for example, with upgrades that cost less than 2m; it is easier to save.

When SC said they were trying to make it easier to save up for big upgrades, they should have said they are trying to make it easier to save for big upgrades AT TOWN HALL 10. However at th 9 I get decent loot with bloonions

I've been getting attacked like crazy since the upgrade. Last night it was 11 attacks, and that was with nearly empty gold and de storage. Yesterday it was 5 attacks during an hour and a half away from the game. I've mAnaged to get one inferno tower upgrading to lvl2 by playing continuously to get from 4kk to 6.5kk gold. Now, I'm just going to keep dumping
gold into walls and de into hero upgrades and hope that I can accumulate enough elixer to make some upgrades and finish troop research...

If you're a TH10, for example, with upgrades that cost less than 2m; it is easier to save.

It has been easier to upgrade even for expensive items "if"you are active and on continuously. If you constantly raid you will see much better payouts compared to before. However, if you used to attack once in awhile by logging in doing a raid and come back an hour or 2 later you're most likely going to lose more then you gain. Since the update I have been able to upgrade 2 infernos and x bow whereas i wasn't able to touch them for 2 weeks prior. This new update certainly favours the farmer though. As the update came when I was trophy hunting and not only did I get attacked constantly I also lost 2M of each and 20K DE in less then 2 days. Thanks SC you have made me enjoy farming AND hogging again.

I attacked a th10 took 268/291 just 20 minutes ago.

A friend texted me. I was offline only a few minutes talking to him.
I switch back to game. it loads up. taken for 327/327

its insane. th10 are attacking down on me instantly because 327/327 is so good
to take from th9. I can't save up for any upgrades now unless i can attack
for hours straight and i can't do that. I can maybe go 1 hour before I'm offline.

the game is now not fun. grinding out loot is not fun so not gonna even try that.

I decided to go preemie th10 and just get IT in. that should be enough to
at least equal my th9 situation maybe even better than it. we shall see

whoch upgrade except wLls costs less than 2 mio? Unless you are a premmie...

I have been attacked quite a lot since the update only one of which I lost more then 100k all the others have been snipers getting my th.
