I would be surprised if they take that into account at all. It is too easy for clans to communicate outside of the game.

They will be looking at other results of those clans. If most of their results are 40+ for each side, then one being 45-45 may well be valid. If most of their results are in the low 30s, as is the case for most clans, then one being 45-45 will stand out like a sore thumb.

And of course there is a range in between that.
