THIS THREAD REFERS TO MATCHMAKING IN THE TIME PERIOD AFTER UPDATES & MAINTENANCE BREAKS, WHEN COLLECTOR/STORAGE RAIDS ARE "watered down" BY AN EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF 0-100k RAIDS. I UNDERSTAND THE CURRENT, ADEQUATE AMOUNT OF LOOT.
In the last update i have experienced many different changes. So, even before the update, finding good raids (storages or collectors) was difficult (after updates/maintenance breaks). The time/gold it took to sift through peoples bases adds up, and reduces from the enjoyment of raiding in general. Then, with every update/maintenance break, it gets worse. Searches are watered down with 20-80k raids. Before, when Clash was ONLY available on IOS the searches weren't as bad. But, due to the increased population of bases, we are experiencing these matchmaking troubles. Then,after the update hit it got noticeably worse. As the collector raids dried up, so did the storage raids. Then like usual, the collector raids slowly came back, along with storage raids. BUT it took longer this time. Even SuperCell has acknowledged this.
"So, again, in short, we expect this new system will mean some BIGGER raids, and also more of a variety of loot targets. You may need to spend a bit more time hitting next"
The negative effects of matchmaking/updates ARE avoidable. And steps should be taken to avoid the continued aggravation/loss of "fun" felt in game. The lack of loot in matchmaking (after updates/maintenance breaks) has been ignored for too long. The loot system change is NOT the solution, yet it is a good inclusion. In order for the system to work we need the storages to fill up faster, especially since the storage % was decreased (less loot available for longer). The production rates of collectors need to be at max level for more bases at TH7-10.
Here is a specified list of how to get clashers to fix the loot with out another big, useless "overhaul"
-add an achievement for maxing collectors
Eaz-E-Loot
1 star: get 5 collectors to level 10
2 star: get 6 collectors to level 11
3 star: get 7 collectors to level 11
-add an additional collector level for TH9&10
Level 12 Collectors
Production Rate:3600-4000
Capacity: 150k-200k (reduced to avoid massice collector raids)
HP: 800-950
-advice to upgrade collectors at start-up
-TINY chance to "strike gems" for maxed gold mines (an INCENTIVE NOT a supply)
In conclusion, the increased amount of players has led to a less-than-enjoyable experience with matchmaking. Finding good raids has been more difficult, due to searches being watered-down with 0-100k raids. SuperCell NEEDS to adress this problem, and take steps to reduce the time it takes to find good bases in matchmaking. The addition of ALL of the suggestions listed above would NOT be detrimental to the longevity of Clash of Clans. The idea of making loot "too easy" (stated by SuperCell) is easily avoidable, if proper steps are taken. Please, Supercell, make Clash "fun" again. Im not even mad that TH10s can take 350k from me :'( its only "fair" (if we got our level 12 collectors or AT LEAST the achievement and other incentives)
