This potential Dark troop is based on the concept of the way the original inferno tower delivers its damage. That means the DPS of this troop increases the longer it attacks a certain building.

Massing these units would be useless because they need the proper protection to be useful. A group of wizards would vaporize these guys but they would excel at taking out high health structures like xbows, inferno towers, and town halls. I don't consider them overpowered because it requires the right strategy to make good use of these guys.
A little comparison to wizards (both max level) in time it takes to take out certain structures:
-Mortar level 6- (hp: 610)
Wizard: 4 seconds
Dark Mage: 5 seconds
-Xbow level 4- (hp: 2800)
Wizard: 16 s
Dark Mage: 8 s
-TH 10- (hp: 5000)
Wizard: 28 s
Dark Mage: 11 s
