Tom’s Route Should Change

Tom has to run all the way down the road and back again. The more land expansion we’ve had the longer it takes for him to run up and down the road. It might not seem like a lot when you have time on the game but I often have to stop what I’m doing to get Tom (I set a timer so I don’t miss him) or even wake up in the night. I don’t want to be sitting there waiting so long. If he would turn and run up the short side street, it would be quicker again!

What would be even better is for Tom to just go get what you requested, instead of waiting for him to make 2 trips! I've never understood the purpose of that.

The animations and delays add to the feel of the game, and are quite deliberate. If i had i my way, i would make Tom single-tripped, remove that silly bird animation when the game starts up, remove all the townsfolk animation when collecting their rewards, remove the lobster and duck harvest delay-animations, remove the long slow postman walk, truck order back and forth, boat arrival/departure animation, etc etc, you get the idea. The game would just be a huge maths spreadsheet without all these eye candy.

i wouldn't mind if Tom varied his animation a bit more. Cartwheel down the path, ride a bike, flipped and somersaulted down the path, trip and fell and get up with a sheepish grin... mix it up a bit.
