Unbreakable Achievement (5,000 successful defenses)

I am at 4,260 now. Started at around 600 in mid-Jan, possibly a little before.

I am TH10 with max everything apart from walls, so keeping gold and elixir low has been easy. But for the duration I've held onto my full DE storage, though I've kept it buried deep inside my base.

Perhaps I could have done it quicker if I'd had no loot at all, but with just 740 to go it feels like I should continue to keep hold of it now.

I have mixed feelings about doing it. I am really bored now but not going to quit. It feels like I am cheating but there's no other feasible way of getting this achievement. I've seen some hilarious bases since I have been down here though, and also managed to take down a good few Eagles which is pushing me towards that achievement too.

Done. Started jan 19 at 2400 lifetime defends. Thanks for this thread for the inspiration.

Started yday with 1800 defend till date. Now going to 2100. Hopefully I can get it done in a month or so.

Yes, it seems impossible. My 4 years of normal playing netted less than 1500 defenses. So normal play would have taken me over 13 years to get it done at that pace .

However, with help from this thread, I completed it in less than 3 weeks once I committed to it. You can too if you follow the tips I listed out here:

Agreed, this is a great post. I've started my journey and have over 300 defenses already only being a day or two in. This doubles my defensive count following several years of consistent play. Thanks to UncleEddie for starting this, Sandy2, DreadPirate and all the other great contributors. I'll update when I get there... until then, see ya'll at the bottom.

I’ve also started working on this achievement because of this thread... the main reasons I decided to go for it were:
- I want to finish all the achievements some day (but not 8 years from now)
- being a max th12, I still had some wall pieces to do, so I could keep my storages low and get less shields/guards
- Project Blue Skies may be under development, and I won’t like to get down once it drops
- I saw people here saying they could achieve 200+ defs a day, so if I did it everything right, it wouldn’t take long for me to finish it

When working on the achievement, I created my own base and tweaked it a lot to avoid getting a 30-min guard. When I finished, I shared it here and even tweaked it once more, to avoid getting a guard from “bot-like” attacks - all the credit to Warios for letting me know about this situation

In the end, I finished the challenge in 10 days (avg 330 defs/day). And I get really glad when I see that some member from here completed it too. I hope this thread will not die anytime soon!

Here is where I was when I went to bed last night (sitting at 800 trophies).

Woke up this morning to claim my 100 sweet, sweet gems!

I'd love to say it had been fun but I was pretty sick of it towards the end.

About to tick over 5,000 while I type this ... 21 days for the additional 3,550 defences I needed. A little bit tedious but certainly do-able.
