Up to 715 since starting...but it’s really tedious and a long way to go to 5k. Not even halfway there yet.

Getting pretty put out today by people clearly doing the same thing I am (level 60 queen), but giving me a guard by killing a random building for no reason. They’re not going after collectors and I don’t have corner huts where it could just be an accident. Just think it’s rude. Trying to revenge these people...lol, but still hard to catch them even way down here.

I suggest you put some giant bombs near preferred buildings. It won’t prevent you from getting a guard, but at least it will hurt their queen, since giant bombs have effect on the queen even during royal cloak.

I found the same problem as you. What I did was make a simple base layout with loot inside, and all outer buildings covered in range of defenses. This helped me a lot in preventing the 2% guards for the most part.

I’ve decided to give it a go too ... my 12 was at 1,450 defences after 5y, dropped from Titan II to 500 cups last night and woke up on 1,400 cups with 48 defences. Only 3,500 to go! Not sure I’ll have the patience but let’s see lol

Although I didn’t copy your base, my base for this project is essentially the same concept. I do recommend a base layout such as Sandy’s for anybody that wants to drop down and farm for defenses.

It took 16 days to go from 732 defenses to 5000. Now to march back up to Titan/Legend and wait for Project Blue Skies.

Nice, nearly two days in and at 240 of the 3,500 extra I need ... patience already wearing thin lol. Seems to be drop to 800-900, defences come quickly back up to 1400-1500 and then stop ... ie no one attacks above about 1,500. Of course I’m not not offering much loot and it’s all in the middle of a th12 layout similar to those posted in this thread.

I had a Legend guy tell me it was immoral to go to bronze to farm defenses. Is it really? If I squint and turn my head I might kinda see what he is saying but to be immoral I would have to be intending ill on someone, no? Pretty sure I am not harming anyone and certainly not intending harm. He was nice about it and it made me think about what I was doing but with a maxed base, pushing down is why I log on for now.

I did get funny reactions too. One guy said he was looking for good players to join his clan. I said "I made it to bronze, am i good?" He said "not really" then a moment later a filtered expletive response begging me to join. I was tickled.

Oh, and then netted 26 defenses overnight

I have concluded vast majority of this game is "farming something", and purposely placing yourself within some position in order to maximally farm that particular item. People looking to farm resources intentionally place themselves within a league to do that. Clans who want to farm war wins will engineer. People who want to farm XP, donate heavily. Even people in Legends are farming, they are farming trophies. And yes, they devise optimal ways to maximize daily trophy net gain.

So yes, like you, I farmed defends for the achievement. No shame at all. "Let he without sin cast the first stone". So I say, "Let he who never farmed cast the first stone".
